No one is telling you to go...yet

We have all posted a few silly things in our time, but you gotta think of peoples reactions sometimes before we post things.

Asking about an illegal activity which you are doing on any forum is a recipe for a flaming.

When I came to Queensland in 1991 from Adelaide, and I went to transfer my license, they simply asked me if my license was for a manual or auto.

At the time, the SA system did not have such a determination, you had a license, and it covered both manual and automatic.

As it turned out, I had learnt and passed my test in a manual, and had a manual vehicle at the time, but had that not been the case, it would have been easy to lie.

I doubt in retrospect that it's really an important issue with regards to safety, however it does allow the government to grab a few extra $$$ in fines and also allows insurance companies to reneg on claims.

And, I'll also add, really you should carry insurance even if it's just 3rd party property/fire/theft (the most basic), so if you cause an accident, the 3rd party property is covered for loss. Driving a vehicle really comes with serious responsibility. Financial hardship due to an insurance company or the courts demanding money is a hassle you don't need.
