[WA] What happens if i got AUTO license and get pulled over driving MANUAL?

I know, I know.. dont bitch about me having an auto i learned on a manual but it wasnt going to pass as a safe vehicle at the time so i picked up my mums auto. Anyway, ive been driving auto pulsar/commodore for around 4-5 years but now that im driving a pretty head turning TT i think cops will definitely **** me over.

Ill get around doing the assessment soon.. meanwhile, what can happen to me if i get pulled over with that shit?
fine? lock car up?

In NSW the auto license only lasts 'til you get your greens... if you're caught driving a manual then, it's 1 point and a $73 fine.

seriously, nobody gives a shit. it's a nothing offense.

 

naw, im sure its illegal for us no matter how long youve been driving or how well you drive. and they have a license upgrade on the ticket machines @ DPI

my mate has been driving manual for 3 years now without a manual licence and the one time he got fined $100 due to him giving the cop his licence, the other times they just let him go. I still have not been pulled over...

They dont care much about it, they have worse things to worry about

When you get caught and they disqualify your License(because you couldn't find enough time in your busy schedule, to comply with the Law)you will have plenty of time to reflect upon "the meaning of life".:rofl::br:

Pay the $47, redo your practical test, and you're set. I started off with my auto, and had my L's for manual and was pulled over driving a manual. He let me off, but said I should have lost my licence for it.

 

when i first got my auto's,because i couldnt get my manual's because of my arm sugery. any ways i got pulled over for driving my manual car and got 1point taken away and 100 fine.

 

These days they enjoy nabbing people for anything... But worst case scenario, throw a jumper over the stick, they probably wouldn't even realise.

But better option is just go out and get the manuals.

I had green P's up instead of reds, and I took the plates off after about 2 years because they ruined the look of the car and I still happened to get away with it.

 

They'd ask for your details and look you up, you'd get a fine for not carrying your licence AND driving a manual... heh.

What I don't get is if you are already driving a manual... and have already done the auto practical test... why not book another test? It'll take 1-2 hours max, on one day to redo the test in manual, and given you're already driving manual, you should be able to ace it, so there really is no plausible excuse other then laziness.

End result, you do the test one afternoon, then you won't have to worry about the Fuz every time they drive by.

i shit you not, i dont have time im always trying to get an appointment at 7:05am and theyre always taken.. i been trying for like 2 weeks now, i call almost every day...

I have one booked on the 10th of may but thats too far.. im calling in sick for this appointment too pretend i got aids :rofl:

 

funny enough, but i dont even have insurance coz its too expensive
havnt clipped anyone or anything just yet :rofl:

im also looking at getting that too
