RE: WA Night Cruise 25 March 2006 Hi guys, don't know where to start really. Great turn out but i think the whole concept of a 'Cruise' was lost. I think the idea is to stick together and arrive at the meeting points together, to make the greater impact not a "im going to beat you to the meeting point" sort of thing. Generally was a great night but someting was lacking. But hey, what do i know...glad to see some sweet looking zeds though
What a f**king awesome night..... hats off to mickey and kendall for organiser a stellar cruise. Bit different from the normal aus300zx cruise philosophy of actually "cruising as a group", but it was a nice change and it was a fairly good group. A few of the tuned guys were a bit stupid at times, but at least it wasn't at antilag proportions. Highlights Me and Zedzilla boxing in the eXcel full of girls on the freeway. NOICE! Dashing through the tunnel...at 80km/ph of course! Coming down the on ramp to see the rest of the cruise already on the freeway as we pass it all and hit the front. Watching that wookiee guy be a bit of a tool and take a roundabout too fast and clip the curb. And of course, watching paul at the ruby room mack on to any chick within a 1metre radius of where he was standing....classic! It was also nice to see a lot of PHATT cruising the streets of perth again....drool! Will post pics tomorrow and chris will be working on the vid asap!
Yeah too right, well done Mickey and that chick who had maps Was a nice smooth night and very sweet getting behind the wheel again of the Zed. Really was fun to drive and I still love that boost kick! Great bunch of ppl, police will be police, and more people talking cars, cars and cars! Sucked not being in the lead pack out of Hillaries, but I did get to see the Wookie in all sorts of drama. Not clever.
hey brad.... check out www.tuned.net.au.... he's talking some s*** about us.....classy guy. We show up, give him money for his charity thing and then has a go.... Some people I guess.
well.. that's normally the case but we got off to a way staggered start with them steenking car park lights and there was a fair bit of traffic on the road. The run down to HJ's was just confused with many taking different routes. It was still fun though, glad I went with the pack through the tunnel and so glad I wasn't speeding when that cop on the bike was tailing me... actually it seemed he was pushing me to speed the wanker! (I didn't know it was a cop til I was told later) I guess one down side in regards to the new members is with all the other cars and everyone walking around, they probably didn't get to meet many other Z'ers. Couldn't really go up to strangers asking which Z is yours? Also damn surprised about that Wookie dude only getting 4 points and $100 for .06, thought if over .05 at all you lost your license for a time. Oh yeah, did some not even make it to Hillarys?
Thats stupid  He was drunk and got off lighter than me. Although I was going quite fast, 120 in an 80 zone. $250 and 4 points. Was on the karrinyup on ramp. Didnt feel like cruising much after that.
Just woke up...argh... Got a bit of a hang over from drinking at the Cass... Still managed to stumble onto here and check out the pics though...well done! Great night fella's. Thanks again Mike and Paul for organising. A real shame about the cops but what can you do...it's expected on a Saturday night...at least they left us alone at the meet points...they could of been real bastards if they wanted to... Dude in the S15 was a bit weird though... So glad the cop on the bike who was tailing you MikeH didn't pull you over...he was right on you for quite a long time though...at one point I was tailing him...lol. But yeah, just glad I didnt get lost along the way...was fun driving with you all... Hope you all had fun afterwards at the Cass...lot's of people there last night... Can't wait for the next one...awesome! Cheers Rob.
Thanks for a great nite guys! Where to start... Firstly a massive thanks to Kendall who done/modified the maps accordingly, the night would not be possible without her effort  Secondly sorry to anyone who i didn't reply to, no credit sucks, yes i need a plan.... Amazed with the turnout even before we got there, very impressed with the turnout from both sides Couldn't believe everyone got stuck at wellington street traffic lights, there was only like 4 of us who got greens all the way to the freeway, a cruise of 4, oh well, thank god we stopped (at a bus stop :LOL and waited for everyone, next minute you hear this roar and a wave of cars and neons haha, amazing! The cop issue was bad, must have been a set at every meetpoint, somehow i missed the "excitement" with cops, thats bad chris about your fine, and i don't know what happened to wookie, but by the sounds of it, thats crazy... Can't wait to start on this vid Cheers for a great nite Mike
Great Night... Great night, awesome turnout - despite the overwhelming Police presence. Im all for a cruise, and usually its the case that traffic lights break the pack right up. Its hard to set out a map with no lights - perhaps more Stops would be a good idea... just to get the group to buch up again and go cruising again. Just curious who you're refering to here - as TUNED is an all female car club. I don't think the girls - in the numbers that were there - would have done anything stupid. Well Done to Kendall and Mike for organising this... looking forward to the next one! Mike
Re: Thats stupid Sabrewolf, were you actually going 120. Cause I saw that bike cop coming off the offramp as you guys went around, so I took off hell slow. But I could have sworn anything that you weren't going 120. Maybe the guys in front of you, but yeh, really didn't seem like it. I was the silver Z who pulled over when you did, but after the cop not giving up, I joined up with the rest of the cruise. All in all, I had a good night, and sorry for not being more socialable but the gf wasn't that well, and I didn't wanna leave her by herself. Later all.
Yeah tuned is an all girls club...... but there are still guy members and from what I saw on the cruise the women were extremely well behaved and there were 1 or 2 guys that I am assuming are associated to that club in some way that were a bit stupid. And just for the record, I have nothing against people who want to speed and shit, that's there choice and god knows just about everyone does......its when people start doing burnouts and taking corners way to fast that shit happens.....and that what can ruin a cruise. Also, has anyone noticed that Tuned.net.au has been hacked sometime this morning.....crazy!
if a cop is tailing one of u on his bike then you should hv gotten on the CBs and arranged for 2 cars to hit the outside lane and drop 15 till mikeH gets past, then box the cop in mikeH at the front on the left lane in the tunnel or wherever cop behind him a Z tight on the cops tail and another next to him then you all slow down to about 20 below the limit, a cop can't pull u over for doing a 60 in an 80... it's only if you go like 40 or something which they then consider to be unsafe if he asks why you were doing 60 say because of the congestion, "all the cars around me made me feel unsafe" and don't look at him so that you can act naive if he tries to hand-gesture for u to get out of the way haha that'll teach him
Thanks for letting me cruise with you Was in the black 180... guest of Midnight, who managed to be there with both his 300 and his RX7 (neat trick ) Was an awsome night and I thought the cops were quite nice.... but then i didn't get booked. Just asked "so are your neons on a seperate switch" and then told "that's a good idea.. have a nice night" Given the number of cruises all on the same night, cops were inevitable. As for people being stupid, I welcomed the change to cruise with you guys as you are a good bunch and known to behave, and of course I still love zeds even though I purchased the 180 instead.... But if anyone is refering to my moment of indescretion at a set of lights were my tiny CA18DET lost traction... I can only appologies. She lit up as I pulled away and I guess I let it ride longer than I normaly would. I wasn't intentionaly being a dick and Im sorry if it came across that way. For my sins.... my alternator died, and the battery didn't seem to like running the headlights, neons, and stereo, and kind of gave up on the freeway on my way home Still a great night. Thank God for the RAC Hope to see you guys again soon and get to know you better.
ahh I think a few of us might have 'accidently' lost traction as long as it isn't at meet points it's not so bad. My tyres seem pretty slippery actually, they break in 2nd gear a lot and not just a chirp, for some reason they don't smoke up either. I think I'll get some new ones soon.
Re: Yeah tuned is an all girls club...... Just saw Tuneds hacked forum page  Good to see some people have nothing better to do with their time
Re: WA Night Cruise 25 March 2006 Love the Pics very nicely done. I hope I get time to wash and polish next time to really let the beastie sparkle :zlove: I washed it a couple days ago but it got rained on before the cruise  Next time ay
