    oh ok

    Sorry I didn't realise

I was just looking forward to learning how to control my car in the wet ;) sideways ;)

Rather piss about and have fun doing it at such an event than on the streets where people get hurt.

Hopefully I suck less in your eyes now that ive explained my reasons?

I dont like sucking in other peoples eyes.
Tastes like chicken but feels like egg. Very odd ;)

When talking to an employee they mentioned they had only cancelled a few times due to poor visability from heavy rain being a safety issue, not the water on the track itself.

Regardless the dry is where its at, the course isnt setup for corner drifiting and sliding, if you dont have traction it is difficult to really do the course. Salam is not any fun in the wet... you would have to be going at a snails pace or else just destroying the cones and taking the instructors times to rebuild the course.

Wet drifting is all fun and cool if the course allows for it... but this is not that.

ah ok. Thanks for the clarification

I certainly dont welcome "heavy rain" anyway. My targa leaks like a siv. Might as well take it off and use an umbrella

Does any one know if there is a compressor at the track?

or should we do tyres before hand?

    Cheers

    Air Compressor

I never saw an air compressor handy for the drivers, i would advise getting the tyres sorted prior to arriving. In saying that they did have a workshop for their own cars in which they would have one but not sure if it was available.

Yeah... Definately still good in the rain!

I have been there in both (I think this is like my 5th time...) and I actually enjoyed the rainy one better than the dry ones... It is actually quite a reasonable course to drift (dunno what number courses you had setup whiteknight, but the ones I did were great) Best thing about the course being wet is they are much more tolerant of getting the car crossed up intentionally. The main reason they don't allow drifting is that it damages the surface which means its then no longer as good for the supersprints and other events they hold there... When its wet though the surface is much less likely to be damaged so its game on!

Also there is an air compressor you can use at the track, its in the shed, just inside the big garage door but the hose easily reaches out to the little driveway thing they have leading into the shed.

    Awsome man.

I didnt mention anything specific about the courses to be setup. I had assumed they would make the same 4 courses i had when i was in the MR2. I guess we can request or find out on the day.

A bit of water doesnt look too bad now :)

Yeah, there is like 16 different courses you can choose from... I like the ones with lots of hairpins.
