Vic - may part car out 300zx TT 2+0 1990

    Just adding here, a dyno can give a indication! It is easy to fudge up a dyno reading or maybe it has a injector issue so can only run 12psi and make 240rwkw but is a 350rwkw engine?

    Getting an independent check over will answer alot of questions and a compression and leak down test would tell you the engines health fairly easily.

    Look thanks for the advice guys, but honestly all of your suggestions invoice me spending MORE money on the car. I'm not in a financial situation to do that. I'm not sure why no one is respecting that fact? I understand it could benefit me towards the sale of parts/ or the complete car. I cannot really afford to spend any money on it at all. As I said, if its better than I can prove, the buyer wins.

    Got a revs certificate thingy that proves it had 70,000km when I bought it a couple years ago. No plans to sell though, this zed will be with me forever :D

    To people saying there would be visible upgrades and it "looks like a stock motor".

    Are you friggin BLIND? The plenum IS POLISHED. Thats a stupid aesthetic engine bay upgrade that costs either a shitload to get done in polishing and pull/replace, or tens of hours of your own time just for a shiny intake manifold.

    For the record, I have driven this car and it went way harder than any stock motor with maxed out stock turbos could possibly go, it was at least 250rwkw.

    Who knows tha the tunes like now, could be running stock boost or have a boost leak and no idea what it woujld pull on a dyno without going over it first to check its running right.

    The car DOES have cams (go listen to it run). It has a full stainless mandrel bent exhaust from the dumps back, custom made with venom hiflow cats and magnaflow mufflers (easy 1-2k worth of exhaust).

    I have no affiliation with the car besides having seen it a year ago when it was for sale and knowing who bought it, but anyone being overly critical of its value has LESS information than I do. I've also owned at least 10 zeds and know what I'm talking about.

    For what it's worth, my stock TT with stock turbos makes over 250rwkw @ 16psi.

    My schlong is bigger than yours...this isn't a measuring contest. Thanks for the write up Lico. I'm glad atleast 1 forum member made a effort to inspect the car before making random accusations.

    How many boltons and how much aftermarket ECU did you need to get that?

    If you mean "I don't have forged pistons and have 250rwkw" maybe you do with hi-flows or a million bolt ons and an excellent tune.

    But I'm telling you that if you boost those stock turbos to 16psi you will make nowhere near 250rwkw, not without massive supporting mods.

    My point remains, it was on 10-12psi or so from memory.

    Nistune, injectors, fmic, and a good engine and turbos. Dyno'd at 253rwkw at UAS. But now this is probably starting to get off topic and ruin the op's thread lol.

    Even though not "internals" I'd hardly call injectors a "bolt on" and your zed is not "stock".

    I knew your statement was deceptive and my point remains.

    Pfft what's not bolt on about injectors? No cams, head work or internals. By your logic removing stock boost control also makes my zed 'not stock'. You've been proven wrong, suck it up.

    offering information and demeaning the car are 2 different thing gmbrezzo. Please do not take me for a fool to accept that what is being offered is purely to help me. They are trying to devalue the car as it is going to be hard to track down the receipts and they are hoping I will drop the price more as they make it harder and harder to sell the parts/car. I have seen this tactic many times on many different forums (even this one). Old members don't like a new person coming to a forum and selling something. Moderators here have even admitted they don't like it. Well, to me, coming to a 300zx forum to sell a 300zx seems pretty logical to me. I haven't listed it here for people to continuously say how bad the car is without proof (which is exactly what they are doing). If they were genuinely interested,they would get off their butts and make the effort to view the car themselves if they are such experts.

    My retort to all of this "prove it" nonsense, is simple. Prove it yourself! Come look at the car. If its what I say it is, buy it cheap! your'e gonna know better than I am. If you can't be bothered coming to look then your really not interested. It's not rocket science. Christ, Ask me for a specific photo if you're not close by. I'll take one.
