    I'm afraid I have some bad news about this event. It will have to be postponed until next year. Under the new DECA regulations (which require 5 times more paperwork than the old ones) all applications must be lodged 60 days before the event is due to take place. Under the old regulations it was 15 days. We really didn't have much of a chance since we only received the paperwork 61 days before the event (and I didn't read "all" the fine print) so we are at a slight impass. I still want to have this event, although it won't be unitl next year and we will need to form a committee of some form to take car of all the work involved which includes;

    • Public Liability Insurance Certificate of currency
    • Personal Accident/Workers Compensation certificate
    • A copy of our OH&S Policy
    • Safety Plan for the Event
    • Risk Assessment undertaken on the Facility
    • All licences and permits

    The price has gone up and and medical personel are required to be in attendance (St.Johns) so we really need to get behind it if it is to happen. Jen and I are happy to run with this agian in the new year (with some assistance) if people are interested and anyone who has paid a deposit is welcome to either get their money back or let it ride till we see how this event pans out .

    I am happy to let my deposit sit for whenever it does end up going ahead and will put my hand up to help out with organising if there is anything I can do.

    Dissapointing, but in the scheme of things, I think this delay might be a blessing in disguise. Hopefully the guys at the NDSOC will be able to print the (soon to be modified) flyer, so hopefully we can get the required numbers! Im also happy to let my deposit sit until next year. Any idea with the more definitive info how much it would cost all up? It was roughly $80pp whats it look like being now? I'd also like to assist in any way possible. Whatever my skills will allow :) Thanks for all your hard work!

    Cheers, Andrew

    Yeah, I'm happy to wait as well. Thanks for your efforts with this Pete, Jen & Sandeep. Maybe you can drum up some support from the SA guys in Berri to come over and make an aus300zx event out of it.

    RedZedMikey RZM should now be DZM

    Bad news, good news and good news ...

    Pity the event's going to be postponed; that's the bad news. I was looking forward to giving the Magna a thrashing.

    Good news #1 - guess there's now a faint chance RZ2 will be ready for the new date.

    Good news #2 - now I get to spend Sunday at Sandown for the TT sports car event :D :D :D :D :D. In this case TT = Tourist Trophy.
