At UAS we have our own custom made frame that holds VG30DETT engine via a bell housing. Using a starter motor, radiator, wiring loom and fuel system, it allows us to test and run the motor for quite a while to make sure it does not blow smoke and to get the motor to operating temperature to do a compression test. The video below is in our dyno room, it has a big fan in front of the radiator and big extraction fans for the fumes. Today we tested a motor and found the driver?s side turbo blowing oil out, so we swapped it for a good one and re tested and all good. This saved us a lot of time, as the alternative is putting the engine in a car and then find engine blows smoke, has coolant lor oil leaks or a turbo seal leak or combo of issues and no good and have to remove it. The compression was pretty good, ranging from 137psi to 145psi. http://www.nismo.com.au/enginetest.avi
