So what value is our caps, what value was yours, where did you get yours from, where did we get ours from, what's the connection ?
Ok, just so I know the facts.. You purchased yours almost 2 years ago You repaired yours by replacing a capacitor (with a different value to the original) You didn't purchase this from this particular Group Buy You suggest that if ours works, we shouldn't do anything as it is probably ok And you are certain yours is the same as ours? hmmm
Hey guys, I bought one of these cables myself off ebay (about a week before this group buy started) and now I've managed to lose the cd that came with it, I'm just after the usb drivers if someone could upload these for me that would be much appriciated! Thanks.
You can now go directly to the source..... Ok people, here's the go... I wasn't making any money from these, so if you want one, you can now go directly to the source. The guys name is Aleksandrs (yes, that is spelt correctly), and he lives in Latvia. Here is his email address: ab-inj@inbox.lv Let him know that Dave Robinson put you onto him, and you can get them directly from him. The price has not changed, it is still AUD52 each delivered to your door anywhere in Australia. You will need to transfer the money into his paypal account, and he will send you the cable and software. I had no issues at all with the arrangement, and I recommend him to anybody. Dave
one thing to be aware of is that ebay have closed down his account just in the last fortnight. i can only speculate as to why, but its probably more likely to be due to copyright etc related issues (as is common in eastern europe) rather than taking peoples money and running. the tunes he sells are ripoffs of a commercial tune, not his own work (wont state here which commercial tune he is copying, as might take away from their business, but if you need to know PM me)
i dont doubt at all that he's capable in the actual production of the circuits etc, just some people would rather not support people that rip-off other peoples work. big issue affecting things like bodykit design - company spends thousands designing one only for some chinese mob without all the research/design costs, ripping it off and making copies as soon as its out. in the past id previously contacted him via ebay to make sure some of the trickier bits of the circuit (including making sure he uses FTDI chips) he had designed properly, and just last weekend i was thinking of getting one of his cables and making sure its all good, so that i can stop making cables myself and just refer people to him, but that was all before i found out what other activities he's been involved with just now (which i only just put together when his email address was posted above).
Aleks confirms that he can still receive funds. If somebody wants a cable, email him. I have had no problems prior to now.
Just started using the cable. The Tecu program works great but I get stuck with Nissan datascan I think I may need an activation code. Anyone willing to give me a code? Or are they all unique
you need to buy datascan, its not free try ecutalk and obd scantech - http://www.ecutalk.com/interface.aspx (calumsult and free conzult also, but the stuff they do is covered by ecutalk/obd scantech).
OBDScantech is free and on the disk I sent with it. Here is the contents of the serial.txt file on the disk: Software is now freeware. http://www.techdiag.co.uk/obdscantech/web/pg002.html You can Activate the Nissan Software using this serial key and name.
