    Hi,

Wondering if the z32 came as TT 2+2 in australia or was that import only?

All Z32's sold through Nissan dealers in Australia were NA 2+2's.
    None were Twin Turbo's.
The VIN will identify which cars are JDM & which are Auspec.

oh, so if u want a z32 TT 2+2, u have to swap engines? Take out the na engine from the 2+2 and install the turbo engine in the 2+2 z32?

If you want an aus spec body, yes you would need a tt engine swap.

If you are happy with non aus spec, there are plenty of import tts

Absolutely. Probably the easiest tt to find. It will be a jdm import though unless someone has converted an aus one

Should add that there is no reason to avoid purchasing an imported vehicle

    Here's a tip.
If you want a 2+2 (or a 2.0 Seater) Twin Turbo Z32, buy a factory built Twin Turbo Z32.

There are numerous differences between an NA & a TT.
The differences go beyond simply swapping an NA engine for the TT version.

All 2+2 Z32's have the removable glass panels, know as Targa Tops, so it's probably a good thing you want this feature.
Because you'd have a hard time finding one that doesn't have them fitted.

The VIN on factory 2+2 TT's will commence with the letters & numerals, GCZ32-******

Nice clip board action there Scotty :D

    Thread hijack kinda.
Nobody post, this IS a thread hijack

    I have a 90 (89 perhaps)
    NA 5 speed 2+2 (boasting)

    No import plate
    None of that

    And the vin is short

    Road authority think so
    Insurer thinks so

Did someone jimmy the import plate?

Only clue here is the short Vin
    Have other z and well..
Its not like the others, man!

No rivet holes or tell-tale signs
Just a clean z with someone to love
(Aren't they all and don't they?)

Destined to be a track car perhaps

    Have heard import registries (snail
    mail confirmation) keep a record
    going back to perhaps that
    far but what's the deuce.

I say, What is the Deuce!

Old timer once told me the 2+2
And the 2+0 are totally different
cars. He says he'll write a book.

"You can't petition the lord with prayer"
    - the doors (you know.. the day destroys
the night, the night divides the day)

Segway for another hijack right there.

    G'day Jack

Zero clue what this guy wants to imply. Is he selling or boasting about his car?

Neither of the 90 na's here have vin
    Only chassis numbers

One is 5spd and recently began
Purring happily again after some TLC
R.I.P Left eye (curse the 4x4 that rolled
    and she died in)

Chassis on the 5spd is only 10 digits

    The other NA is auto
And has the typical 17 digits

Again, no import plates at all

Nissan told me today the auto
    Was an AU release model
    And shows on their system

But.. the 5spd with 10 digit chassis
Does not show on their system.

Called NEVDIS they want an email
To look into it, their msg on hold
Was a bit eerie - imprisonment wha??

Might just use at track cars o_O
