This engine is complete & has just been pulled from my car. It has done only 85000K's. Compressions are all between 150-160 except for pot 6 which is down to 50. The engine still runs & could be as simple as a blown head gasket or buggered valve. I would like $850 but would take any 'reasonable' offer due to moving over east. Info Could be intrested. Complete as in wiring loom? PTU? series 1 or 2 ? Turbos? Why do you want to sell the engine if it could be some thing as simple as a buggered valve?
re: Info & price drop Ok the new engine has just arrived. Its a series 1 & has all accessories so i can sell my old engine with the stuff that came with the new engine. The loom has been cut in true dismantler fashion, which is just behind the balance tube. 1 O2 sensor has been cut at the base of it, so it might be hard to re-wire. I will need three of the coil pack connectors but all else seems to be there. I will also be swapping the water pumps & thermostat. The engine has typical container damage which includes: 1 broken cam belt cover, slightly bent balance tube, & compressor inlet tube has a ding. I have removed the top manifold & injectors off the old engine so i could have them cleaned while i was waiting for the new engine, so you will need a gasket for this which is $26 from Simon. The turbos have minor shaft play & 1 has a small amount of oil in the outlet. The reason i am doing the swap is because i dont have time to fix the old engine. I am moving back to Qld in a couple of weeks so if anyone is interested please get ahold of me real soon & you will get a bargain. I will drop the price to $550 for a quick sale.
