how are ya shaggers, im not sure if im posting or writing this up correctly and in the right place but here goes. im making about 320kw in my tt, with gt2860 turbos, 740cc injectors, 21psi, walbro 485 pump. been on this set up for a while now and wanting to spice things up a bit, looking at installing a flex fuel system, some larger injectors possibly a second pump yada yada, the info im after is turbos, are 3071's going to be a mission to install, can they fit, has anybody ran or currently running the pulsar 5449g turbo. The 2860 turbos are running out of puff, I am limited by my ecu as well due to it only having a small capacity internal map sensor which can be sorted by installing an external map sensor but these turbos definitely are running out of puff especially with the smaller rear housing ultimately the goal is too get close to 600-700 any info, and advice is appreciated cheers
If you have access to E85 then TOP FEEDS and a FLEX SENSOR are your cheapest pathway to more HP. Depends which 3071 kit you have and which 2860 kit you have. You would be better off (from a packaging point of view) looking at a more efficient turbo instead of a larger turbo. GTX28 series for eg. Which ECU do you have? Most modern plug ins have a 7bar maps sensor which is more than enough for several VG30s. If you are referring to rwkw there is a world of difference between 600 and 700, and to be brutally honest you have probably picked the wrong platform.
Thanks rob for the reply this was a build I done a long time ago, so bit of ancient technology now, for example the ecu is a haltech platinum pro 2000 and the turbos I got are modified garret turbos 2860r with .64 turbine (disco potato) a while back now. And I meant horsepower, if I could get this car to around 600-700hp, even 601 hp I would be over the moon. I guess im trying to see if anyone has gotten close to these numbers on a set up similar to mine, where I don't have to do too much to get up there as well.
