That's right folks up for sale is a genuine Tommy Kaira wing recently removed from a silver slicktop and ready for sale.

It has a couple of small cracks that are easily repaired, see link below by the brilliant gmbrezzo (thanks again Graham !), also a couple of small marks from removal.

As those that have been looking for one of these know they do not come up very often on complete cars let alone on there own, this is the only one I have EVER seen for sale on its own and this is reflected in the price of $1000.

I had considered copying the wing but it would be a shame to make such a beautiful piece by Tommy Kaira common, easily the rarest and one of the most desirable tuner wings out there.

Price is fixed as I had envisaged it going on my car in the future with a Y2K front bar, how smooth it would of looked , and have had great difficulty in putting it up for sale but right now a tune is more important.

Sorry no offers at this stage.

The quality of build is excellent, as per detail by gmbrezzo above, it will not be that hard to fix it properly, I could have easily slapped it with bog and undercoat.

Most importantly it's repairable to as new condition quiet inexpensively.

John, do you have an OEM third brake light infill? Don't suppose you'd be interested in seeing if it'll go in in place of the garnish? (providing a little trimming is done to let the wires/bolts through)

That is a good question, the above garnish is the same shape and size as a third brake light but a littler wider, probably because the wing sits a little higher on the rear deck.

One way would be to trim the TK wing around the stock fitted third brake light, no idea how neat this could be done, but not what I would do with a TK wing.

The other way would be to mount the third brake light to the TK wing again chopping would be required and would result in the garnish sitting proud of the tail lights and looking botched IMO.

What I would do is get some 3-5mm black acrylic sheet or similar and cut it out the same as the TK garnish, round the edges with a small radius to make it look tidy, get an aftermarket LED 3rd brake light and attach it to the acrylic, requiring a single hole through the TK wing for wiring.

If you take the template to a plastics shop they would cut and round one up for you. Maybe even a way of making cheap third brake lights for brazilians.

    Back to the sale. ;)

Is a sleek looking spoiler, and makes the car a bit more unique especially seeing as they are very rare. :zlove: Have had a couple of offers for mine and it is not for sale haha.. Good luck.

Brisz, just repair the cracks and put the price back up, although it's easy to do fpr repairs (and they'll actually be stronger afterwards) people will still be dubious as to the finish. Repair it, sand down, up your price.

Your probably right Lico. I thought the buyer would prefer to make the saving and the satisfaction of doing it them selves.
