QLD The Week After Warwick - What to do ???

I am thinking of taking some extra time off and spending the week after Warwick up QLD way, maybe somewhere around the Gold Coast. That would be 13-17 April.

A number of other forum members I have spoken to have been having similar thoughts, so I thought I'd start a thread to see who else is interested and generally get peoples opinions/suggestions on things to do, places to stay, and maybe organise some group activities if there are enough interested etc etc.

It seems a shame to travel all that way and not sample some of what QLD has to offer.

Im keen to do an event after Warwick.....a nice run to mt tambo would be nice...lunch and a nice afternoon cruise back

Sea World, Movie World, Dream World. Stadium Drift (if timing is right and happens to be on. ), Beach, Night Clubs, Strip joints. They have it all!
And the standard of ladies down there are fairly high.

 

I just Googled Coolangatta to Springbrook. Looks like some nice twisties toward the end Fate. :biggrin:

yes peter ... we have been known to wander up that road ... one of k-zed's favourites ... something like 110 turns in 22 kms .... and much better mid week if at all possible ...

A fantastic drive, very scenic, mid-week daylight only.

 

OK, so where is Mt Tambo?

I'm guessing it's not 1,000kms from the Gold Coast, north of Charleville ????

I will be staying around for a week or so after the nationals, mostly just catching up with friends and such in Brisbane but if something is on I will see if I can come along.

Emma's parents live on Mt Tambourine so I will be up there for a bit too.

 

Provided i have accomodation organised for the nationals i should be there, and staying a week after, but also depends on me getting th zed back on the road, if not i may try to PSA or just fly up there, but yeah week after stuff sounds good, perhaps a few drinks at one of the local clubs, i am sure R33k would be up for this!
