Tied up in red tape. Too hard to do because it was a right off, need reciepts for all parts brought and all work done needs to be engineered or something like that. So the grey girls gonna get a pair of hair driers and a manual box aswell as all the other TT gear to get it going.

dont even need to do that, car is over 15 years old, apparently its not required once past certain age to notify engine swap from same cars

 

I'm gonna get my mate to find out what his mate could do. Apparently they do engineering certs and inspections, and are happy to consider a carton or 2 to grease the old wheels.

Hey guys just wondering if someone could do the gear oil change for me (manual) because i missed most of the tech days..

 

The biggest issue is that you need a 13mm 'plug' tool. I.e. like a 1\2" ratchet end, but a little bigger.

If you have that, you're all set, and I can show you how to do it.

If you have troubles like I did, you need a hand\foot pump, someone with small hands, some 6mm hose and a lot of patience. I had all when I did mine, however I was freaking out a little with worry.

Oh and the oil also. Search for my other thread - the oil I used is in that, and it's done exactly what I needed, which was to remove the gearbox noise.

 

I have redline MT90 in my gearbox and she engages nicely :zlove:

Changing the gear oil is a pain as Vader suggested, so be prepared to scream

i use redline lightweight shockproof... its not that hard to change there gear oil guys..

I will bring my toolbox which should have the gear you need. Don't forget to demonestrate to me too.

 

No cats for me this weekend. They didn't get here in time.

So I will try and do my dash, and Ross if you can gimme a hand to sort out this zorst idintification that'll be great.
