WA Tech day - Simons Head Gasket Engine Pull - Sat 12th April 9am

Hi guys,

Thanks to the awesome *** in this thread we're having a tech day to help out a mate of mine in desperate times.

Really appreciate the way members are willing to even help out a zedder they haven't met.

I'll be there from 9am as I'm assuming we'll need as much time as we can get in daylight.

Car and working space is in garage so weather shouldn't be an issue.

Please post your name up when "FIRM".

I'll post out address closer to the day.

Also please post up any preparation steps Simon and myself can do prior to the day. (yes I'll do some searching too)

So this is an ENGINE PULL and HEAD GASKET REMOVAL on a 93 TT ready for Head Gasket replacement.

I'll shout Pizza/Nandos/whatever we vote for LUNCH and we'll make sure fluids keep flowing all day, and if we're still going by dinner time, we'll BBQ some dead animals and any fingers the zed engine bay removes for us.

Im there. . Pull the radiator and the intake piping on front of engine as a minimum if you start pulling loom off then for the love of god make sure you label each connector. . Make life easier later on

 

note to self....we need labels, bags, and a camera....and food

havent pulled a motor to bits for quite a while......

has anyone got the head bolt tightening, untigthening sequence? wouldnt want to warp the heads.....
