WA Tech day/cruise! food and drinks and jdm ;) MAY 4TH 2013

okay guys i'll be buying parts soon so help me list the things i need

my issues:

1- 2000rpm idle
2- engine not very smooth on boost

parts i need to get:

1- i got recommended new sparkplugs but i need bkr7e and no one has those in bunbury so if anyone could pickup a set for me that would be great
2- plenum gasket (someone on here said they will give me one)
3- EBC i'm still waiting on this one as i think the day after the meet i will be doing a plenum pull by myself because i really want to sand it and paint it or polish it so there is no reason for me to hook it up now...
4- lots of vacuum lines, which ones should i get
5- someone mentioned EFI hoses, where can i buy them and what size?


what else? do you guys think we could get rid of a few things and relocate other to clean the engine bay up a bit?

 

vac hose and efi hose you canbet from a auto store. they should also be able to get the plugs in for you well before the tech day starts.

idle and running rough can be looked at easily enough.

if anyones got datascan, bring it with you guys....

 

ill see if i still have one but if someone could bring along a 'Boom Box' then we can listen to those hip tunes while we work

 

i have a spare, you never know when u want to rip the plenum off
just need to find it. I'll have a look tomorrow and pm u if interested.

 

hey guys I might bring the zed down on a trailer. need a plemum pull and water hose bypass aswell haha. if the OP doesn't mind. anything else people recommend while the plemum is off which is a day job

 

ok reg, just make sure you bring the appropriate hoses and plenum gasket and we can try and get it done....

 

sounds like you have alot of work ahead of you.... ill remember to bring a chair

 

oh, i wont be doing all the work, the owners can do 90% of the busy work easily enough.

ill advise.......and help a little when the shit hits the fan lol.

 

for people cruising, let us know which meet point youll be at so we can try and make sure we dont leave without you lol.

the plenum pull?

if you have the parts, then we will get it done in the day. but you have to be prepared to get dirty.

there is always a small risk that things wont run properly after the plenum pull, but 90% of the time its fine.

 

chris at jdm automotive said that the best ones for my zed would be the bkr7es because i'm running 15 psi?

 

i just want whats best for my car so 6s or 7s?

Damn, I was thinking about making this, but it looks like I'll be pulling an engine out instead.

 

Boooo.... why engine pull? changing the spark plugs on the 300zx
bring the car and we can do it there?
