tail lights

installed my 99 spec tail lights yesterday, but which do you prefer? (try to imagine the smoky tail lights being darker btw)

 

i duno...i kinda like the smokey ones...are they legal?

 

Stay 2k damn it. Smokey not legal and as gay as my Ferarri's
Keep the lights the way they are.

 

I think they're legal if you leave that small reflective section untouched, which I did at first but didn't look real good.

*shrug* the new ones gives a cleaner/newer look I guess but still can't say I'm that keen on any stock tails.

 

Looks much better with the 99spec tails.

i'd go the 2k one's mate, the smoked one's look a bit 80's or something - won't be as timeless as the 2k's.

 

If you don't use the 2k's I'll take them off your hands

i like the 2k ones way better but the real question is what do you like best ?

 

I'm not 100% keen on either, need to do some kinda customizing!

btw, are those new rims on your Z? and how is it going now? did you get it tuned etc?

2k looks alot nicer imo :zlove:,but its what you like,not everyone else,its your picture,you paint it !!!

 

i rkn the smoked makes ur car look mean.. but with the spec lights it makes ur car look modern...

yeah they are my new wheels. love em. the car is running good. i am gonna get another tune again soon now that i've got a new boost controller and a stronger tranny. i have pretty low compression though so i don't expect anything special. either way with the current tune it's pretty quick.

Sorry to tell you but they are NOT legal... they do not comply with relevant ADR's as they have been modified from OEM.

I prefer the 2k/99specs they make it alot cleaner/fresher but still staying within the original design.
I'll be keeping my original tail lights as i'm wanting to keep my zed as original as i can.
