If things keep on going like they are for me I may not even be able to drive my Z on the cruise. Lets hope my luck changes!

Sunday's cruise, a message from the organisers

    Hello everyone.

A few important things for Sunday's cruise, a message from the organisers and contributors.

    • Enjoy the day! Be considerate of other drivers, especially those less fortunate, the ones who drive ordinary cars!
    • Drive carefully and consider other road users, obey the road rules. No one wants to see someone injured or a pride-and-joy damaged on a day like this.
    • Drive for the conditions. If there's inclement weather or other conditions such a bushfire for example - consider your safety and the safety of others by acting responsibly.
    • Keep a safe distance from the car ahead of you - it's too easy to be distracted when you're following another vehicle, especially in a group.
    • In the National Park and at Bundeena, be mindful that you will be sharing the picnic area with families and young children. This is no place for bad driving skills or bad behavior.
    • Don't behave in such a manner that brings unwanted attention from residents, police or the park rangers. There's nothing worse than a group of car enthusiasts being labelled 'hoons' and therefore not being welcome back.
    • Note that some of the organisers have had direct communication with the National Park authorities as part of the serious side of organising this event - don't let them down.

And finally, remember, the purpose of the day is to raise funds to help a mate.
Give generously? but only give what you can afford.

    Have Fun.

    See you on Sunday

Just to let you all know I have sussed out the availability of covered sites in the park should a wet weather plan be required. There are two covered sites large enough to cater to our group so the BBQ will be going ahead 100%

    Wet Weather alternative and Housekeeping

Hi Guys, firstly here's an updated map showing the route to the proposed wet weather alternative. This site has a covered area large enough to accomodate our group (assuming roughly 40 attendees). The only down side here is there is no guarantee we'll be the first in, so unless someone wants to stake out the site from earlier in the morning (and consequently miss the cruise) we have to be prepared to move to a secondary venue at the visitors centre if needed.

But yeah, this is my preferred wet weather area at Wattle Forest

Mikey, Jamie and myself will decide which site to proceed to when we meet everyone at Loftus

Secondly some housekeeping issues. As Chris has mentioned we need to be on our best behaviour. All of the roads we are travelling are used by the general public and of course subject to regular road rules. I'm not saying "no fun" or "no spirited driving" but let's keep it safe and legal and show some consideration for other road users.

Please keep a safe distance from the car in front of you!

The National Park have been advised of our event and the park rangers have my personal details and contact number. Please don't give them a reason to use it....

Anyway that's all -see you Sunday!

Thanks for the generous offer, Lloyd. Much appreciated! Will be handing the food over to Emile instead as he's my neighbour anyway. Don't want you to go out of your way just for it. Thanks thanks again...

Park entry fee; don't forget the park entry fee is $11/vehicle. If the gates are not attended we will need to pay at the visitors centre.

Can I suggest having exact money ready due to the volume of cars expected.

It may be easier to collect all the entry feed at Loftus and have the leader pay for the group all in one hit. Obviously something we can finalise at the meet but it will be easier if we can plan ahead and bring exact $$.
