does anyone in melb know where i can get my steering wheel recovered and how much?.... :zlove:
Good question. Get the yellow pages out and ring some motor trimmers. That would be a good place to start. And then tell us.
Hmm that reminds me I want mine done too. Wykked had the best example ive seen , I want mine like his.
Not sure about Melbourne ...... but in ACT there is only 1 person who does this (out of backyard). Cost is app $200, 2 tone colour as in the Godfather was $250. That's just the leather wheel, not the inner bit with the cruise controls and horn.
Please post photos. I'm getting mine done soon and would like some ideas or know what to expect.
I'm also in the ACT. Do you have any pics and who is the guy that does the work?
There is a company in Thomastown that does it Roy. I have to get mine done as well. They quoted $280.
The sample I saw looked great. Wonder if we can get a deal for getting two done?
I will try to find the places name again.
That would be good thanks
Can do it if you are willing to send it up here to Sydney!
I am currently looking into the cost of the leather required for another member uphere . Vinyl (good quality boat) works out about $100 + postage and leather a little more depending on the material. I did mine ageas ago and the result was great but will be dumping it soon for an smaller after market soon as my roll cage comes so close to the knuckles.
Heres a pic pre rollcage!
See if I can get a close up one tomorrow!
GJ is this the place you were talking about??

I have 3 spare steering wheels. So we could get three done at a time.
I recon a G.B. for wheel recovering.
What do you all recon?
Yep thats the place... Yeah it expired damm link! grr!
A G.B sounds good to me depends on the price tho...
When I called last time it was $280
280.00 sounds good to me....
considering a new one cost $2000.00
