My original oem wheel has been looking rather worn and for some time I've been procrastinating to get it re-wrapped. I found a member on 3ZC who does this as a side hobby to much success judging by the feedback I've read.
Since it seemed quite expensive to remove and ship my own steering wheel to him (in the US) to be recovered, I found a good used 1990 steering wheel for sale in the US and had him ship it directly to Chris to be re-wrapped.
Although I originally wanted the wheel to be completely re-wrapped in black perforated leather, Chris convinced me that cost-wise and esthetic-wise, it would be much better to go with a smooth and perforated black leather combo. I'm glad I listened to his recommendation as I think it was the right choice. I'll let you decide for yourself.

The packaging/shipping was better than anything I've ever encountered. To the point of overkill, which says a lot from the get-go.

Inside the brown file folder were a matching set of shifter boot and e-brake boot done in smooth/perforated black leather.
As you can see, everything was done with red stitching to compliment oem design as I'm using an oem 99/00 shift knob as well.

Outstanding packaging as you can see. What you can't see (or barely see through the bubble wrap) is that there is another circular elasticized plastic wrap around the circumference of the wheel. Now that's what I call A1 packaging.

The wheel itself. The center cover that came with the wheel will be replaced with my original oem one that does not have the cruise control buttons and still has the center Z logo.

A few more pics to show the quality of his craftmanship.

I can't wait to install these goodies. I am thoroughly impressed and I can't say enough about the overall quality and appearance of his handiwork. To me it looks better than oem.
I'll sell my original oem steering wheel which should cover the complete cost of buying the US steering wheel plus shipping.
