my cars torque was 340 nm of torwue from about 3000-3500 rpm through to about 5000 rpm, droping of to 260 nm at redline.... the hsv was about 390 from about 2750 -3000 rpm through to about 5000 rpm(very close to its redline at 5750 rpm ive been in my car (obviously) and his and although my car is quicker, you can feel the v8 smashing you in the bak through every gear....it can and does beat gen3 equiped comodores(ss etc) and i believe with extracors exhaust and new high flow filter would push 200 rwkw easily.... and he has a "COM" racing manifold to go on soon with a supercharger kit being decided upon in the next 6 months.....then it will beat my car....till i up the boost again....lol
Old thread in need of an update Time stamp 7:10 weight of a 2+2 z32 with a sr20det fitted and running using a z32 gearbox with no a/c and heavy wheels with full interior 1308.16 kg vs 1,634 kg stock https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_300ZX (could be 1555kg) weight of a 180sx, 1220kg add 22kg for a z32 gearbox swap and some weight for a 5stud and z32 brake swap and there really isnt much in it. Plugging a sr20 onto a z32 gearbox has never been easier with the conversion kits available for S chassis http://alphaomegaracing.com/p/51/c/...x-Conversion-Kit-Version-5-S13-S14-180SX.html meaning from the bell housing back everything remains as per factory You will need to cut and shut the subframe if staying front sump although these off the self rear sumps may work https://www.cxracing.com/OP-SR20-D5-for-240Z https://www.cxracing.com/OP-SR20-D5 S13 radiators drop straight into the the bottom radiator brackets, but sit lower than the support panel S13 off the self intercooler kits work with slight modifaction engine mount adaptor look like these 1035kg the weight of a caged stripped out track 605kw sr20 It really is a simple swap now and removing 250-300kg from the front of the car will make for a good balanced track car. sr20 bling
