    Sure did,

Car ran well, the clutch is gone, but it was good enough for a drive around the block with no worries. Car produced boost well and the body was in quite good nic really.

I didn't grab any photos of the engine mounts themselves, but they are certainly well engineered. About the only draw back of the mounts is that to have the shifter in the correct position is the engine sits a tiny bit higher that a VG30DETT. As such the bracing in the bonnet (right above the engine) has been trimmed.

Depending on how things work out the engine and gearbox mounts MAY be up for sale. Whilst a lot of people have scoffed at the indignity of putting a smaller capacity motor in their engine bays, you have to remember that this is no S13 redtop. With just a boost controller and a tune you will have a very reliable 200-220rwkw. If you pick up a jdm motor they even had a ball bearing turbo to standard and aren't at all laggy, plus the VVTI has been proven to help develop boost 500rpm earlier and hold peak power 500rpm later. And between the engine and gearbox you are probably saving circa 200kg.

Anyway, I am very happy with my purchase!

Don't know what fantasy world you live in, but no SR20 will push out 200rwkw with a boost controller and tune. Even the S15 SR20 won't.

Says the guy with one of the slowest zeds in the country....

Its a great little world, where we can see past our own nose!!!

FYI: you have no idea what your talking about really.
An sr with boost controller, cams and a turbo upgrade can make over 250kw ATW.
Even my first car (1990 CB lancer) made 186kw ATW and its only mod from 100% stock was an s15 turbo and boost controller.

    Bloody troll!!!

Yeah I think you gotta at least have an exhaust added to that as well, the stocks exhaust on sr's are from what I hear absymal.

What the hell are you on about? You are saying a standard smic, exhaust, injector sr20 with a tune and EBC will make 200rwkw? Yeah ok buddy. How about you have a read of what was written before you reply like a bloody retard. He wrote boost controller and tune not FMIC, Turboback, injectors, cams and a bigger turbo numbnuts.

Anyway to the OP, is the engine an S15 spec SR20(T28 ballbearing) or and older one?(T25)

With full exhaust, fmic and a more aggressive tune , 200kw is plausible.

S15's could do it, they run a larger T28 turbo and make more power standard. The older SR20's run a T25 and WILL NOT make 200rwkw on that standard turbo.

Look, I didn't come back to aus300 to argue about sr20 power figures. A good friend of mine that I have known for several years and go drifting with regularly has a near stock S14 SR20DET in his ae86 (only mods are pod, boost controller and nistune and obviously eng mounts, pipework etc to fit it in the car), it produces 186rwkw at 14PSI. If you honestly are going to do an engine conversion and use the standard side mount when you are already making up custom intercooler piping (given that the stock pipes were never designed for a Z), well, that's your choice. If don't believe that a few more kw is attainable with a little more boost, also good for you.

(it's worth noting the S15 injectors are larger than S13/14 injectors (480cc Vs 370CC), so there is actually plenty of headroom)

Just read this post, yeah its an s15 unit with the T28, 6 speed, bigger injectors etc. I do have experience in this and am not just running my mouth.

I 100% agree that an s13 redtop will not net 200kws with just more boost, they run out of fuel and air and at around 165kw.

I thought I had mentioned it was an S15 setup in the original post, but maybe not. I also appreciate that the original ad is now gone and there is no way to check from that.

As I said, I honestly didn't come back on aus300 to pick fights.

    Cheers
