speedo?

    Hi everyone.I was driving home and noticed that my speedo wasn't working and then my steering got very heavy,does anyone one have any ideas?After being home for a while and the car cooled down I took it for a short drive and everything worked fine,any ideas?:confused:

    power steering is speed sensitive and takes your speed off the speedo so when it stops working, power steering turns off.

    It could be a dry solder joint, check the tech section for how to fix this.

    Mine did same thing

    Mine did the same thing but only now and again, I've been lead to believe that it is only a conection problem, either behind the speedo or at the plug down on the gear box. I had my tranny replaced about six months ago and I dont think it has happened since which leads me to the conclussion that it was the plug at the box. Just unplug and clean conections, worth a try :D .
