Went and had a look at a fine example today, Took along that check list that's in the tech section, and went though, every thing seemed to be good few things that were a bit off, such as the center nose panel not sitting right, but all the other panels where fine, paint chips here and there, and faded window rubbers, Was about all I could pick up on out of the list. It's got a boost controller, blow off valves, I think it's also got a turbo back exhaust system as the pipes going up into the engine from below looked rather large. It's got some aftermarket suspension gear, a rear strut brace plus some suspension work I think, I saw some red bushes under the wheel arches. It might also possibly have an aftermarket LSD. I am quite sure it has an aftermarket clutch, it had very short travel in the clutch and was rather heavy. I take it that's not the feel of the normal clutch? Also I noticed the brakes at the front had slotted rotors that's not a factory item right? Inside it has Fairlady Z floor mats, boost gauge, turbo timer, shift knob, aftermarket wheel, cloth trim, 2 Seater. targa bags and Targa covers, interior condition was A+ in my book, looked to be genuinely matching its kilometers which is 120,000. 1993+'s have the seat belts mounted to the pillar of the car and not the door right?Paint was in top condition bar a few paint chips on the front bonnet and the fading of window rubbers. Overall I was impressed with it and the test drive, I am sold on it, pending things such as compression test and what not. But what do you think it would be worth, just so I can see if his price is fair 1993, 2 Seater, Manual, Targa tops, 120,000 Km's that do look genuine. Blow off valves, Bomex Bodykit, 17" rims, electronic boost controller, rear strut brace, etc, what I have said above. Thanks. -Scott :-Z
re: the belts can be changed in about half an hour and usually are when complianced. this has no affect on the age of the car mines a 91 and there is fittings for both door and pillar mounts.
