The larger 220psi pump upgrade. ( larger pump will allow for more versitility in tuning and you get a larger flow range ) and the safe injection will assist in notification when the water injection fluid is low.

I remember one of these GB's were run before, and I think Claymen got one - did anyone else get it? any feedback on it? performance etc?

Many US Zeeee errrs are running snow water injection kits with good results.

One that springs to mind is zboost(tx), who ran an 11.97 with stock turbos and:
    Intake
    Full exhaust
    ECU
    Boost
    Intercoolers
    UDP.

    Ive got one

Sadly my car hasnt been on the road since about august. However now im on holidays ive almost finished putting it back together, might have it running tonight and then put the kit in over the comming week.

The kit itself looks great, I got the one with the upgraded 220 psi pump, safety module (outputs 12v signal on no water, so u can hook to ecu or whatever) and the variable controller (choose at what boost the water injection comes in etc).

If anyone wants a look at the kit gimme a bell.

And yes the Devils Z organised it last time and was excelent to deal with, my only remotely possible bitch would be the 10mb email of photos i got sent once lol ;)

does anyone run water spraying kits that spray the OUTSIDE of the intercoolers?, to make it like a crude air con system, or would you need too large a water resevoir to be effective?
    festivus cheers

I too am interested in teh external intercooler water sprays.

    Apparently they're pretty effective.

But yeah, you need a separate water resevoir for it.

Autospeed had some pretty good articles about making a controller so it only comes on when most effective.

i have a home-made one which uses a 2+2 washer bottle. Worked well, but not using it anymore.

    h20 injection - GB

I got an email from one of your moderators that spurred my interest to surf this site again. I am more than willing to set something up for you AUS guys ( And I promise not to send a 10mb email :) ...send me a PM or email or rsvp here to let me know when you guys are interested.

The only think that we would need to work around is the shipping. I can send paperwork to help with the duty tax or send a bunch of kits to a trusted member for distribution to save on the shipping. Let me know and I am willing to work something out. I surf tt.net regular and lately have been surfing 300zxclub.com ... so I am easily reachable .. let me know ...

    I have a few questions...

    1) Where is the reservior mounted in a Z32?
    2) Is enough pipe included for the dual nozzle setup?

    Pending this I am interested

the reservoir can be mounted in several locations ( with the 220 psi upgraded pump, you can use the OEM reservoir in the rear )

    1) by the battery
    2) under the front center panel by the intake
    3) anywhere u can find / make roomm in the engine bay

I recommend ( not sure for AUS cars ) to source a used OEM reservoir that fits behind the stock headlight. There is a sensor plug that can be used for the low level indicator that is factory. The OEM also will hold more fluid.

Enough pipe / tubing is included for the dual nozzle use.

i don't mean to piss on your parade

i have had 1 of these systems on my zed (BADXTC)for about 6 or 7 years now and it cost me about 40$ all up. there is absolutely no need for any big pumps or any thing fancy like that i think that it is just a waist of your money when i does the same job. i would really look into this b4 you buy it. 300$ to 500$ for a system like that. all you need is a simple pump and 2 or 4 nozzles and some hose, well you justify that.

    just my 5 cent

    cheers alex

True, i think it's great that you point that out to people.

However, i think it must be considered, that the target audience for a kit like this is someone who has spent as much as they see fit to afford on their engine - and they are trying to buy an insurance and are wanting reliability in that insurance. So instead of a $50 DIY job, they're prepared to spend some money to get a company that is putting it's reputation on the line.

If i was going to do a DIY job, i'd do a lot of researching on it in order to feel confident enough to trust in it (fail safe operation and warning LED's and all sorts of tricks)

Ditto .. the Snow Kit is tons above a DIY kit. It has a variable controller that is designed to linearly increase the flow rate based on boost ( onset boost to max boost ) and a safe injection module that will prevent you from thinking your running water / methanol injection when you are not ..aka "BOOM"

Simply, you can have it wired to a relay that shuts off your EBC ( back to base boost ) or you can have it set off an warning lamp. Send me a Pm for more details ...

    clarify

lets just clarify , is this system meant to spray on the outside of the cooler or inside the cooler.

Mounted just before the throttle body I believe.

    Edit: Just searched.

    http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1754104&forum=general&dtSearch=1

Seems like the nozzles are put into the actual throttle body.

That seems to be the "sweet spot" but at that point I will be running a nozzle for each cylinder (6 total), but I
will be in the ideal range and with many smaller nozzles at higher pressure I would expect to have superior atomization (perhaps the ideal solution but complex, expensive and 3 holes in my nice 60mm TBs).

    I like this sentence:
Just turning on water injection, with NO changes to the
boost controller, timeing, or anything... netted us 45-50
more rear wheel torque (on the dyno). No changes. Just
turned the water on. It was instant power increase and we
didn't have to touch a single setting to do it.
