QLD September 19th Gold Coast - Hinterland / Jacobs Well Cruise

I'll be keen for this cruise

 

Just called Mt Tambo Brewery If we can give them an idea of numbers and an ETA they will set aside an area for us in the Beer Garden.

TBC: 10am Meeting Place & Route

At this stage the suggested meeting place will be BP Coomera, from there we can go through Jacobs well, then head back through Ormeau onto Beaudesert-Beenleigh Rd into Tambourine Village then up Tambourine Mountain Rd for Lunch at Mt Tambourine Brewery.

After lunch I'll be heading south to go down Beaudesert-Nerang Rd through Mt Nathan into Nerang and back to Surfers or maybe out to the spit . I understand some might be coming from Brisbane so you might want to head back north, the choice is yours.

10am Meeting Place: BP Travel Centre, Exit 54, Pacific Motorway, Coomera (McDonald's)

No worries, I can't wait to finally show off my new Zed and meet some people from this forum.

I'm no longer on facebook but please feel free to add it; though I'm not sure how public you want this cruise to be. If a heap of non-forum people turned up it could ruin it!

In saying this I'm sure it's fine for people to invite friends along, but putting it out to the WWW on facebook may not be the best idea.

 

yeh u can make it a private event. it would be easier for those of us who want to invite friends is all. i dont want any random falcodoors rocking doin skids either

... is this to be an AUS300zx cruise ... or is it to be a cruise for friends and family via Facebook and by extension open to vehicles of any Marque ...... ????

Well this is an AUS300ZX forum cruise. I don't want to offend anyone or come across as a snob but maybe we should just keep this cruise exclusively for 300ZX owners. Personally I'd prefer it that way. I don't use facebook so if people want to invite friends outside of this forum try a txt or a phone call

In saying that what do other people want? I'm not going to lose sleep over it either-way.

 

Since this is turning out to be a large cruise 300zx only is probably the way to go. Personally I've found the smaller cruises more enjoyable because its easier to stick together, that said get a UHF radio! :br: we usually use channel 10.

 

Do you have a hand held one i could borrow Alex or are you fresh out?

 

I have a 3rd somewhere, 2thumbsup, still has my other one. Others usually have some available if need be anyway and mines built into my dash. Way more fun with one and easier to stay informed.

 

Consensus is 300ZX ONLY Cruise

After considering the opinion of making this event an open cruise the general consensus is that we would prefer to keep this event closed to 300ZX owners only.

To minimize any possible damage to interpersonal relationships with friends who own an inferior breed of car; may I suggest someone start an EOI for an open cruise for all to join later in the year? You can facebook that too if you like.


p.s just bought a UNIDEN UHF 5W CB Radio from Dick Smiths

I would be keen for both cruises though.
