I have an answer back from Sard on the injectors. I have to buy 120 pces which means 20 cars worth. Whos up for an injector upgrade?? I need answers NOW about who is in and who is out. Please post here. Graham
price? hmm did you forget the price dude? also, what is involved with putting Sard's on the car? you bought the collars or something did you so that you can get it cloned cheaply? i'm definately interested G
Price is around $800 including collars. I am getting the collars made here locally. (I edited the price into the post but it didnt seem to work) The Sard injectors are a bit better than the Nismo's IMHO They are dual spray types. The Nismos are also a bit small.

Its over $12,000 for the injectors so I dont want to get stuck with any. I have to make sure they are all spoken for. I pick the bends up this week. Then i just have to get em welded. I would say about 2 weeks till they start to ship.

sard injectors fit many cars, they have collars to adapt to our fuel rail. thats the way sard does it basically our only options are nismo 555s or sards.. i want more than 555.. i think its too close to where my HP is going to be (or want it to be) no room for breathing space.. 650 means i need sards.. or to machine lower plenum and new fuel rails sard collars normally make the sards very expensive, (around 1100 delivered) graham is having the made locally at a fraction of the cost

Good stuff. Looks like i will be in for a set. Is their any advantage in machineing the lower plenum, and getting new fuel rail made if going for other injectors?

This is the good thing with the Sard injectors. No machining of plenums. You can drop the old style 555's in no probs, But I have reservations on if they are big enough after a GT28R upgrade. THZX has his 555's almost maxed out at 18 PSI. I always thought 650's would be better sized to what we want to do. Lets run this post for a week. See how many we can get. Then if we dont get to 20 sets I will try and negotiate with them to get the same price on less quantity. Looks like this will be a one off deal as I think we will be unlikely to get close to 20 people wanting injectors again in a block.
Dumps are not far away. Pick up the bends tomorrow. I have to tack the pipes in place for the welder then they can be tigged. A few weeks I would say for them ALL to be done. I can start shipping as soon as they start to come off the line.
i thought you were getting the collars made locally?? how much are they costing for machining? coz the sard injectors are only 710 delivered.. you said collars were gunan cost you 5 bux each to make locally.. makes em approx 740
Dropping resistor just wondering about the dropping resistor required with these injectors From Taki at Perfect Run when I enquired a while ago: Will these be included or are they something we can just grab from Dick Smith's? Anyone know where they go?
I havent got the sample collar yet. So I dont know exactly how much they are to make. Cause we would be bringing in almost $12,000 of injectors. We will have to pay GST of 10% The Freight from japan is $380. The only other thing we can do is work a group buy through Greenline and get them drop shipped to each member. So there is no GST. Lets get the numbers first and then i will go a hunting for a better price than the greenline one. As I said its an approximate price. I figured its better to err on the high side just in case. Who was the reseller on the old forum who quoted the SARD injectors? Anyone got his email? I am open to better ideas for a supplier.
