I was getting a bit over 180 on the back straight and once when I went much harder at the scary corner before it (the one with the guard rails right up against the edge of the track) I just made it to 200.

That being said, honestly the straights were pretty boring compared to the corners, especially the set along Dandenong rd. While I would suggest you do get the limiter removed if you can, there are no corners on the track that will be dull coming into them at a little under 180km/h and unless you are really dead set on getting the highest top speed you can (Alex will have a ball on this track) it is not going to ruin your day.

The limiter is written into the tune so I won't be removing it for while, retune is on my list for next year. I am more interested in learning how to hit the correct apex and playing with the suspension settings. Need to get a wheel alignment done beforehand and will drop the oil on saturday morning so it's nice and fresh for sunday.

With buying a house and all the furniture and bits and pieces, I was borrowing the money from my brother to fix the gtr's clutch....that was a month ago and since then I havent been able to get him to deposit the money no matter how much I remind him (which I shouldnt have to but he's a lazy bugger )

So a week and a half from Sandown and I still have no money to fix the ****ing gtr or time to order in the clutch anyway and have it fitted

The whole house buying experience has been extremely stressful and frustrating and this just tops it :bash::bash:

I mean I can't be pissed with my brother as he's lending me the money but then he's taken so long to do it I can't help but be friggin annoyed as now I can't make commitments I have made. :bash:

I understand Chad...

I am a soft cock when it comes to track work... I'm the first to admit this. But I will be making ammends in the future. With this event, to put it simply, I just dont have the cash to do it. I'll spare you the old man talk of having a mortage etc etc, but as we are currently landscaping our garden and saving up to go the U.S in november, I just cant justify $200+ for a track event at this stage. The day sounds awesome, and I will be there to spectate, but not to put the car on the track unfortuneatly.

im really shitless scared of going on a track, i didnt mean to come accross like that, guess its just the thrill. just egging you on mark u know it would be just great to drive on a real track with 10+ zedders

 

Maybe this can be a once a year event you can organise Chad! I'm sure after the first one a whole lot more people will be interested in getting involved!
