Replacing Alternator Bearings

    So alternator is apart, bearings are off the armature, but before I press the new bearings onto the armature, just want to know how to get the bearing past the brushes when I reassemble it.

    Can see the brushes down the bottom there, confused as to how to hold them up to get the armature back in.

    Youl find there is a small hole down there nthat goes right thru the case and out the back.
    You have to push the brushes right back into the housings past the hole and poke something like a straightened paperclip into the hole which will hold the brushes out of the way.

    Once the casings are back together and secured just "pill the pin" and there you go!
