    Big job

Just be aware that if your going down this track it is a big very time consuming operation, something like 10 hours/seat. It also requires attention to detail and patience if you want to end up with a good result.
If your dead set on doing this buy yourself a GOOD QUALITY pair of side cutters to cut the hog rings off. Your better off replace them with medium size cable ties, a lot easier to fit and adjust the tension.
It is not necessary to add the exrta rod in the seat base as in the video.
My main criticism of the seat base video is that the guy is not paying attention to the effect of tensioning the cable ties, ending up with a poor result. Also the two internal "flaps" of the base can be cable tied to the base and pulled down to get rid of the any loose areas in the middle section.
