rebuilt VG30DETT (maybe)

    Just testing the waters.. I spent over 5k and a lot of time on it myself rebuilding my engine, a stock rebuild apart from porting of heads, upper and lower plenum.

    I think it's still under 10,000k's, I'm kinda curious if I could get 3k+ for it.

    As I was before the rebuild - but before I picked up a 2nd car.. I'm considering a V8 swap.

    What sparked the re-interest is I'm seeing the same boost drop as I have since I first got the Z, I'm pretty much convinced it has to be weak actuators now, I was going to make them adjustable when the engine was out but got impatient.

    So now I may have to pull or drop the engine to sort it out. If I'm going to do that I may as well put on new turbos which leads to new injectors, manifold and dumps. Lotsa $ which I could put toward a conversion! :)

    With most S/H TT engines selling between $1500-$2000, I don't think $3000 is unreasonable, especially if you have the receipts to go with it.

    Rebuilt engine for sale

    hi,
    Can you give me some more detailed info to what you have done on engine. Any pictures would be great as I have to pass the info onto my mechanic. Has the engine been compression tested? Also what dollars are you looking to sell engine for.

    still just thinking about selling it at the moment.. the mention of 4k was tempting but even if offered a lot more it's really about deciding whether I have the time and energy to go the conversion.

    I'll give more info if/when I go ahead but right now it's looking a little less likely. (I've been considering other options with the VG30DETT as in alternative positioning of turbos etc to make it less a pain in the rear).
