Racing Harmonic Balancer for VG

You already did a group buy on SILVER harmonic balancers John. Your blue finish is anodized and this is available in Clear (anodized) to produce SILVER. I have paid the FULL PRICE already and want mine in silver even if you have to have another one made. No fault on anything I have done, I even paid up front. Why I should accept a different colour when it has been changed without consultation?

BTW Etching will show up if you chalk/crayon the etch lines.

 

Silver?

OK Brad will see what I can do. I did put a post to say they will be silver or blue OK? Some said they want blue and I also made the mistake of stating hey colour not and issue then blue or silver? Then something about the engine won't care, but now realise it is not the engine only for some but the colour also. I ordered silver and blue but could not get silver and not a biggy for me or supplier, again our mistake although it seems only for you Brad. I understand, and I have not seen your car for a long time but if it is better at all than when I saw it years ago when it is a work of art, I can understand your concerns for details. Jason you don't care so best not to inflame the colour thing.

To explain and as some have raised and most understand but probably others in this thread may not and not an excuse but more a reason for some lack of attention re this GB. As mentioned we had a major fire above our shop late October and had to relocate our showroom and build temporary showroom and then source another location which we bought premises in Seven Hills about ten mins away. I had a lot of pressure from landlord, insurance company who were paying out 60 k a month to landlord for his loss of rent for the whole block we were in. We had to vacate premises so they could rebuild above our workshop. Finally I was threatened by council to bring the police to remove us and work cover. The work cover thing worried me.

In the month of January and February we built the equivalent of a small house being a 115 square mezzanine, with insulated ceilings and dyno room underneath and refurbish the premises and had between 10 and 20 tradesman most days day 7 days a week. Had two staff resign basically over the move and disruptions and two on holidays, just when we were moving, and they had booked and paid for accomodation etc many months earlier. Whilst running the business I was a project manager and working silly long hours so no I did not have time to check this group buy and check up with suppliers as much as I should have and wanted to, nor reply on this forum and nil on Skyline Forum and others I participate on. Anyway all on top of things now and still busy setting up new shop but over the major bit.

and dub may well get his silver unit .. which IS what he ordered .. lol ...

All the pulleys are shiny billet now John, as well as most of the engine with a lot removed from around the engine for a cleaner effect.

 

Hey wait a minute I am not inflaming the colour thing I have already said I didnt mind either way. I guess I sort of highlighted the appropriate posts where colours were mentioned to help Brad out thats it. Not inflaming anything. I was there and saw most of the hassles with the old shop first hand thats primarily one of the reasons I havent bothered you with work on my car and the other was because I am just too busy to get it done.

Crown might have

Slipped a little Baz, two complete engine rebuilds in short time have taken their toll of of the bling factor.
mainly concerned with getting it ready for the Nationals now, so the bling has been put on the back burner for a while.
Dub's zed has always been one of the best around, and a prime example of what can be achieved with good ideas and a lot of elbow grease.
Lot of good engine bays around now, Caz's one comes to mind.
But i'll be back, still got a couple of ideas to try out once i get my feet back on the ground.

Silver No go

Sorry DUB cannot do in silver so let us know if you want a refund no probs?
Also I sent two off to our balancing shop to get balanced and they were aware of Ross blancers and said from their experience they are probably 99.9% right. Sure enough one was .5 of a gram out which is one small posted note and one was .6 of a gram. Basically very good. This compares to factory one we did for my motor which was 6 grams out and one peice alloy one which was 3 grams out.

For those who did not put their money down then they will be discounted to $495 which is still a great price and normally will be $595.

 

Blue racing belt option

In addition I have source the brand new blue racing belts which justarrived as an option although only two at this point and special release price of $28 each.

I am waiting to see if can get or how long eta for the one not available just yet.

Yes it's a problem seeing as I ordered, and paid for in full after you said you were doing in Silver. I also ordered, paid for, imported and fitted the full billet UR billet pulleys (while waiting for this GB to be delivered) after the colour was sorted regarding your harmonic balancer. If I had known these would only come in blue then I would have ordered blue instead. Thses pulley kits are no where near cheap so I'm not about to buy another set to match your choice in colour. This is VERY dissappointing JP, your change in colour without saying anything to the ppl that had placed orders is just slack. I can see no reason one cannot be anodized silver or even supplied raw for me to anodize myself. I know this can be done coz I can get it done over here in silver no problems at all.

Surely one could be kept aside and not anodize it. The UR

pulleys look to be clear anodized (not dipped in a dye solution before the hot water seal process). I would buy one if it was in clear anodizing as I have only aluminium and red coloured parts in the engine bay.

 

Options

We can supply in raw but will not have 360 degree markings only timing mark if this is OK? The option was only red or blue and as I explained with huge move we did I was not on top of things as much as would of liked to or should have, and hard to get replies sometimes form suppliers. I did put a post to say silver or blue ok, but anyway email or call me for more.

 

Silver Option

OK I have been liasing with Ross Balancers and they can do in silver but need to get ten or close to in order to do a run. I can refund those who don't want blue, which I think is DUB only? Otherwise wait until we get enough takers? Might express interest on this thread for those who want silver or should I start another thread?
