i cant believe this zed has not sold yet .
this zed is in 100% good condition . there is nothing to spend at all . now at a price of 15.500. you can no way build this car for that sort of money .

Ive seen this car many many times over the years , and it is ALWAYS clean and ready to go . spends most of its life in the garage at his house .( while he drives that POS Ute around ) paint job, engine , interior, running gear, is all perfect, this is not a mistreated zed, it was in good condition when he got it , then add 30k plus to just get it perfect.
i for one don't want to see it go , but when the time comes, it comes .
i just hope it stays here in Melbourne , this is one of the top5 cleanest zed around that Ive seen , that's over 15 years with zeds.:zlove:

    The problem is Alex...

everyone sees all the cheap Zeds on ebay and thinks "oh yeah, I can get a great zed for about $5k, and it also comes with an 18inch subwoofer and a sik body kit...... yeah bargain".... what they dont realise is the quality difference between the carsales cheapos and a properly maintained zed on the forum selling for above $10K... If I was buying another zed, I'd buy Grahams. But I'm quite prepared to fork out more than $10k for a zed. Most people are not. Sad. We are mostly to blame, as we keep lowering the price to make a sale. Ok, end rant.

yep thats the sad part . but i hope he gets his 15500 for it and not a cent less, and gets treated the way teky treats it , if so this car will last for many many years .

I can't believe this Zed hasn't been snapped up. It's a really wonderful example and what every Z owner should aspire to. If it wasn't for SA being the nanny state as far as car mods go, I'd seriously look at raising the finances my self.

One question though..... Has the engine been rebuilt as well? You say the car has been fully rebuilt (beautifully I might add) but you don't actually mention the engine.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Engine was freshened up. Not rebuilt. New bearings and rings only. Actually the engine was 100% before hand I was just being cautious.

Also new turbo Centre Housing Rotating Assemblies ( CHRA's) on stock turbos from COZ.

The only mechanical mod it has over stock is the Front mount IC.

Most of the money was spent on new stock stuff like door rubbers, trims etc.

I was building a NEW car.

Its not really a highly modified car. At 13 PSI it's plenty fast enough from me.

Look at the garage for its profile.

They are bloody fussy at the RTA here. I'll make inquiries, but from what I understand we're not allowed any form of boost control. They will allow you to have an aftermarket intercooler or a pod filter but not both. Also I believe any car coming from interstate has to go over the RTA pits to get rego here.

I could be wrong on all counts and if someone wishes to correct me, please do. In the meantime I'll inquire myself.

Well if they crack it about boost control. The electronic boost controller is fitted in the clock hole in the console. BUT I never connected it. In fact the boost control soleniod and loom is still sitting in the box.

The boost control ATM is via manual controller in the engine bay.

You could just screw the clock back into the console until after you get it registered. OR LEAVE IT AS IT IS AND SELL THE ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER AS ITS BRAND NEW.

I can give you a stock filter box and nose cone if it helps. Pull the pod assembly until after it passes then put it back on or sell it and stay stock.

Not the case at all. Registering an interstate vehicle in SA is as simple as having a Police check done on the vehicles details(VIN/chassis/engine numbers) and then taking those details to the rego office - voila, done!. The police will even come to your house to do the inspection under certain circumstances. This I know, because I have bought all of my currently owned vehicles interstate and the latest I did this was in November of last year.

you are correct "ozphoyo". Finally got my car through regency and what a f*** nighymare. If the car ahsnt got a compliance plate, and some dont. Then a roadworthy which is an extra $250+. Make sure engine is completely clean, no oil leaks, no hid's, NO front mount intercooler and NO pod filter. They also check car height and all interior lights seat belts etc. Had to go back 3 times to check car, They are very stringent here in SA

I used to also mate, but NOW they have claamped down on that too. I used to do mine in the SE really great down there, but now 3rd time around. its regency
I am NOT trying to steer you away from the sale, as its a great buy, just letting you know "ozphoto" of what is now required

Aries25 and Dave (ozphoto). Understand your concern, and I am accutely aware of what is requried to get a car through regency. I have complied my ICV, the E-Vade, I had a phenominal number of visits to Regency, especially the emissions test facility, search will reveal that story.
Pre-warned is pre-armed with Regency inspections. You are allow one intake modification without he need for an "certificate of exemption" (which requires a engineer's certificate). If you re install the standard airbox you will have on mod with Tekkie's Z the intercooler. His car is very clean and well presented, so it is not likely to gain attention say a groovy paint sceam zed might ;)
As I said I have had a close look over Tekkies zed at a couple of events that we attended. I am sure you will have no issues.
Also, I have no interest in the sale, and actually would prefer to see Graham hang on to the ZED, (as I really don't like the ida of competiting against his race car).

The car isnt a 15 year 89 import (that didnt require a new VIN plate).

Is was imported under RAWS as it is a 92 build, and has a compliance plate fitted with a new VIN.

When I reregistered it here in Vic after I finished building it (it came from NSW and didnt have current reg) . I had no issues. supplied a Road worthy and had an inspection at VICROADS which consisted of checking the engine and chasis number.

In fact they gave me a computer readout of all ownership details since it was imported. So they knew exactly where, when and whoever had it before I did.

Has NO fluid leaks of any kind, engine you could eat your lunch off, car underneath is completely clean. I doubt they will be picky. It looks like a new car.

I do see Vicroads etc being VERY picky on the many buckets of shit Z32's I see driving around.

It seems Dave has made a descision in any case. Judging his SMS today it looks like it is going to a new home.

I have a small but expensive list of stuff for the race car. Engine had to go to UAS for examination, pull down and reassembly. Porsche Rear brake rotors and adaptors.

Plus a lot of Fabrication that I will have to do. The build thread will reawaken over the next month or so.

    Sad time but neccesary. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
