    Hi all,

As a follow on from this thread:
    http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=278600

I'm starting a new thread, to cover A1RM as well as HPX, and also the Brembo pads.

    Overview:
QFM's Performance Street pads fall into two compounds. The first is the HPX pad which is a perfect choice for street cars looking for excellent braking performance whilst retaining all the qualities of a good street pad. The HPX pads are ideal for high performance street cars looking for higher working temperatures with reduced fade, and also for Four Wheel Drives or vehicles looking to enhance their towing capacity or safety. The HPX pads unlike many pads in this performance range are virtually dust free, whilst maintaining low rotor wear.

QFM's second high performance street pad is the A1RM compound and provides QFM with its club sport track pad. It is ideal for high performance street cars that take to the track to test the limits, whilst still being a streetable pad. The A1RM is ideal for club level rally and hill climb where brakes are required right from the first corner!

Latest report on the A1RM from a Zeder:

    Ok, P&A time!

We've got VERY low stock of standard (4/2 pot Nissan) A1RM, as demand is simply out striping supply at the moment! Its a bitter sweet frustratingly good thing though...

What we do have LOTS of is HPX, for those that want a high performance street pad with low dust and don't require a pad to withstand the riggers of track work.

Again, sticking with half price rears deal to get the 'QFM Pads by GSL RallySport' name out there...

    - DB1170 HPX $79 + DB1220 HPX $39.50 + $12.50 shipping Auswide: $131 delivered! Suit Normal Nissan/Sumitomo 4 and 2 pot turbo brakes. Suit all Z32, and also all non-Brembo Turbo Skylines.

We do now have a couple of sets of Brembo in A1RM. Unfortunately can't offer the half price rears on the Brembo gear because its a full custom order, that not only requires us to source backing plates, but also to bake, strip and clean those plates before sending them away, so each set of pads also takes about an hour labor... but I can include shipping for nothing to try and make up for that. Will still make them miles cheaper than other comparable Brembo pads.

    - DB1520 A1RM Front Brembo $149*
    - DB1520 A1RM Rear Brembo $149*

Free shipping on either 1 or 2 sets of Brembo pads.

    * Due to a MAJOR shortage (like none in the country!) because we've bought so many of the RDA pads which we source to make the Brembo QFM pads, in an effort to keep supply of Brembo pads, we will be offering an 'exchange' service. Buy the Brembo pads at full price, and send us your old pads once you've taken them out, and I'll send you a cheque for $25 per set of pads. That brings them back to almost standard A1RM cost and makes them $124 off the shelf Brembo Street/Track pads!!!

Any questions or to order drop me a PM or call 1300 884 836.

    Regards,
    Greg

Greg, I want a pair of A1RM's for 350z track brembos for the fronts only.

Can I ask why you dont get the backing plates laser cut ?? what so special about the backing plates ?? Material ??

If you need a hand to supply these, let me know as we have a cutter down here

No dramas, just PM your details, name, delivery address (preferably work or business), contact number and email and I can fire you through an invoice with direct deposit details, or else credit card over the phone. 1300 884 836.

Yeah, that's what I'll have to look at doing. The RDA pads were about the same price as getting the plates cut, and at least we knew they were right, albeit it was a lot more effort to strip and clean the plates first.

Only yesterday we decided we need to get some plates cut as the other Brembo pads (EVO/STi) aren't available in a cheap pad, so the only way to do these is a laser cut job. There's about a thousand laser cutters in Brendale where we are, it just been too busy to organsise it yet!

    Thanks anyway mate!

    Regards
    Greg

    I'm in!

I'll get a set of the HPX front and rears for $131. Currently running Bendix Ultimates and have considered EBC Greenstuff, but for the price you've got, too good to pass up! Will just check with a mate if he needs a set too and get back to you soon.

    Thanks Tek!

Mr G, not a drama at all, there's still LOTS of HPX here!

For those that might be hanging out for the A1RM, spoke to QFM yesterday, and I should have more stock within a week. Popularity on the A1RM is getting silly, every time we order them we think we'll have more than enough till the next order... The problem is the DB1170 fronts suit Z32, R32, R33, R34, S14, S15, WRX, which is a pretty big market! :p

I hit the A1RM pads HARD at Winton. ( i also replaced the fluid with Penrite SIN synthetic)

These pads are really good. I had zero brake fade on the stock calipers. I actually wasnt expecting much.

They remained tight and still usable even after the hardest laps.

    Cant recommend them enough.

I need a set of stock A1RM rears for the race car now.

It's comments like that that back up my gut feeling that I'd actually probably sell more A1RM's if we were charging $219 per set, instead of $119! :p It's that perception of what people think they're getting, and the old story, you get what you pay for...

Thanks again for the feedback! ;)

    Woo Hoo!!!

I've had 4 boxes of A1RM DB1170 pads show up from QFM! Been waiting on nill stock for these for weeks!

So, A1RM's now available, continuing the half price rears deal:

    DB1170A1RM Fronts $119 + DB1220A1RM Rears $59.50 + $12.50 Shipped = $191 delivered!

You've only got to read reports like Tek's to realise what a sensational product these are, and at a bargain price!

Same deal as always, if you'd like to order, PM your details, name, delivery address (preferably work or business), contact number, and email and I can fire you through an invoice with direct deposit details, or else credit card over the phone, 1300 884 836.

I got the HPXs a few months ago now and I'm a fan. They are as low dust as the Hawk HPS pads I had on previously (which were rubbish BTW, DON'T ever get them!) and stop almost as well as the Bendix Ultimates I had on before that (but soo much dust...). Delivered quickly and great price too. In short: big fan! Thanks Greg.

    Hmmmm, feedback

I took the car to Sandown last week. Stock front and rear rotor size and A1RM front and back. Also has Penrite SIN Hi temp brake fluid and Hoosier slicks on all 4 wheels.

I didnt muck around and hit the brakes hard on this track from 220 klm/hr down the straight. They didnt fair as well as Winton where high speeds dont really have to be washed off.

At the limit the pads go slightly soft. But to their credit the pedal seemed to go slightly spongy then dont get any worse. They seem to reach a limit then flatten out still leaving a useful amount of brake.

Its not so much brake fade, but as they reach their max temp they dont get any worse.

All this does is take away slightly from the feeling of comfort you had. The pads still stop fine.

I am sure they will be OK on the race car with 600 KG less weight and bigger Brembos on the front.

These pads are very good, and for the price unbeatable.

Thanks mate, good to hear some feedback from the pads on their absolute limit. Also good to hear they never actually faded, and that top end 'going off' is unfortunately just the compromise you get from a pad that will still work from dead cold AND not chew rotors.

    Thanks again!

    Cheers,
    Greg
