Kudo's for going with the LS2! Vey very impressive build mate, bet the thing flies, the torque from a dig must be awesome, percentage wise how much time does this thing spend sideways? :p

hehe L98 is actually different to a ls2!!! it has better flowing heads and reacts better to mods :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D ls2 is a slug in comparison and costs tons more

Yeah the L98 is often mistaken for the LS2 but its a different motor. As simmo said its got better heads (as good as a lot of aftermarket LS1 heads infact)

The torque is indeed fun. Haven't been driving it much yet, hasn't even been run-in. Need to sort out a bit of wiring (ie speedo, tacho and get my oil pressure and water temp gauges in)

video will be on its way soon

Whoops my bad. Hence my avatar ha. Just figured it was LS2 due to the capacity. Was buying the motor and all the associated parts, disregarding all the custom work fitting the thing etc. etc. expensive? Domestic parts would be miles cheaper than JDM which must be a big plus :)
You can't beat CC's! I want a V8 too one day, what's it like going back to an NA motor, do you prefer a powerful NA over a blown smaller capacity motor now? Better throttle response?

parker Been around for a bit

    it looks bloody delicious

I want it! Some really nice work there and I would be happy doing that swap just for the sound. I love the vg but it don't sound too tough. Can't wait to see what it does on the track/dyno. CONGRATS :D

The crate motor was approx $4,500 that doesn't include accessories though (alternator, brackets, ps pump etc). If you ask me its a great deal for a brand new motor! They do vary in price though and this was on special so i'm not sure what the standard price is.

The power delivery is totally different, I still haven't had much time behind the wheel so don't know the car very well yet. The instant throttle response is very assuring :) Just a tap on the pedal and it pushes you in the seat. Regarding what i like better, each motor has its good and bad points but overall i prefer the feel of a v8. After all, in my opinion, half the driving pleasure is from the sound

Niiiiiiiiiice, ooops, wet my pants a little

The thing with a conversion is to finish it off, get all the little things done properly so it feels and drives just right. A lot of people just don't do things properly and the car is never as good as it could have been.

Looks like you are going to get it all good, well done :)

Very Nice, LS engines are a great piece of gear :)

When you're' bored with the power, mount two turbos in the rear for that extra grunt corvette style :O

I spy a FPR in the engine bay, I thought the L98's had a return-less fuel system with the reg in the fuel tank?

On a commodore they work like that but unless i fitted a commodore pump/reg i had to do it this way, plus its better anyway
