Agreed on the bonnet. Not my style but tremendous respect for doing it properly.

Gunna be interesting to find out why it's not performing like it should be...

At 13 degrees timing and 23 psi it makes 430rwkw -would pick up that extra 30 with 100 octane and 15 degrees no problem

So is your timing 13degrees at the CAS or in the timing map? In any case 2 degrees isnt worth 30rwkw.

Timing map -not worth 10% up top? Whatever it is big numbers were pulled on P100 and maxxing out injectors. 98 always going to be more conservative. I don't know what the timing was set to but getting a lot more fuel too. Would have been interesting to compare how it runs now on johns dyno had the sensors been setup properly....

Yeah p100 is e10 right? Im betting your timing map would be a fair bit safer now, for it to be 30kw down id say its 4-5 degrees less now than your big run. Get some e85 in there, seen cars take another 10 degrees advance with the stuff.

With e10 100ron from united my na motor took another 4deg over 98 without any issues

why did they stop at 23psi? was it not making anymore power with increase in boost or running out of injector?

edit: I am an armchair tuner and just curious don’t take offense to any of my questions.

May as well try and get the max power out of it if you're planning bigger and better things anyways :p

Im betting the power loss from the timing pulled matched or outweighed the gain made by the increase in boost.

None taken :) As far as I know 23psi was as much as they considered safe -when I spoke to mark he said anything more was risky on 98, exact words were "it's only designed for normal cars".

430 on a safe tune is a lot -I know you're switched on but I don't think the average punter realises that the big tunes and big numbers that you see in mags etc are seldom what the car leaves the shoo with. It's one thing to squeeze it in a dyno where you have control of everything and instant feedback, but it needs to leave the shop with a tune that leaves some margin for fluctuating octane rates, different ambient and intake temps, etc etc

Ha true... Needs some modding to accommodate the cooler... Time and money and all that

Go the Jun hands down, will match the bonnet.

As NEM touched on (acknowledging a lot of other variables) timing usually is about 4hp per 1degree I think.

Boost (psi) usually can factor an increase of one per 1.5 Ron points from a dyno dynamics article I was reading.
    So
    100 octane.
    24psi safely (+10rwkw maybe)
    5degrees advance (15.4rwkw maybe)
    [following Nems theory]

    So there's a 25.4 difference ?

I can link to the article I pulled the above information from if anyone likes ?

I'm not believing what I've referenced above is a LAW or TRUTH but it is interesting

Power gained from boost and timing different from car to car.

I realise that I was simply referring to the article for a basis to work on.
