Hi all, my automatic antenna used to sound like it was working however the mast was long gone. I've replaced the mast to discover that when removing the unit the heavily corroded wire has come off the base of the motor. I've since pulled that apart and managed to get rig up something that mostly works. However the motors not at the speed or strength i imagine it should be.. I had to open it up to reconnect my wire and its pretty corroded inside. by the looks of things that exact motor is the same on so many factory and aftermarket, universal replacement antenna's however as i already have the new mast, a cleaned and re assembled housing with perfect teeth on all gears etc i'd like to know if anyone has ever located just a replacement motor? TLDR has anyone sourced the 12v electric motor for the automatic antenna separately? thanks in advance.
Check out any of the parts for sale on the forum or ebay or gumtree, most of the guys will still have them when parting out a car.
According to Nissan FAST. The antenna/motor is available only as a complete assembly. The telescopic antenna rod is also available as a seperate item.
Time for a shave... Shave it and buy a modern one (Mazda wreckers for $30)and put it in the center panel behind the targa's... niiiice!
