I'll be there, but only as a spectator, my paint's not up to scratch for a show n shine. Good show though, really enjoyed it the last few years. And will look forward to catching up with a few more zedders again.

 

Amanda and i will be there... just as spectators.
Hopefully we can get a few of us SA peoples out there!!

 

I am in; just need to ensure that I am tasked otherwise at work. I will be able to give a definite within a couple of weeks (before the earlybird cut off....I hope).

Looks like I'm pulling out. Started the car last night to shuffle things around the garage and noted an abundance of white smoke coming from both exhausts and a very strong smell on idle up. Went for a quick lap around the block and it disappeared but I'm thinking that I need an engine pull for turbo rebuilds or something else I'll have to research. I don't know if a 1,200km round trip is a smart move if I'm gonna kill something in the process.

 

Its probably just condensation. If it cleared after going for a drive, its all it would be. But abundance would seem odd... have you checked your coolant levels recently?

 

Yeah sure have. I did a little research last night in the Z technical for 'White smoke', 11 pages of threads around and about of white smoke causes, complex stuff for me to understand but A2Zed gave a rundown summary that points towards turbos bypassing oil, I'll need to look into it further tonight after work. As for condensation I'll have to say negatory on that one, the smoke smelled VERY chemical, not quite straight fuel smel, not quite oil smell, but like a weird cross between those 2 and another element. I'll start it up again tonight and see if it happens again.

 

Sooo, it seems I'm working later than I wanted today. Doubtful I'll get there within any respectable time frame. Be sure to take lots of pics for me.
