    Hey everyone,

    Iv been part of this forum for a while now and as most would know im a trusted member.

    I've been in and out of Sydney for the past year and il b bak to stay soon, as such i havn't had a chance to sell the car. I've had the car up for sale on here before and got plenty of interest but at the time it turned out i still needed it, now as im back its definitely going.

    The car has been great to me but iv had my stage of 'coolness' and im after something more practical for my job and in general.

    I will have some pics up as soon as i can and il be consider swapping for something along the lines of a commodore.

    Now onto the car...as i said, when i get a chance il update with pics etc.

    For sale: 1990 J-spec 2-seater Targa 300ZX Twin Turbo

    Killometer's: ~185,000kms - Bare in mind most of these km's are highway driving and as most would know this is the least stressful on the engine.

    Transmission: Manual

    Engine Type: VG30DETT

    Complianced: Yes...from memory it was in 2001, il hav another look at the compliance plate.

    Registration: Yes, registered until February 2008

    Crash History: No Accident History that i know of and none while in my possession but obviously pretty hard to say.

    Ok so about the car:

    ENGINE:

    -The engine has been rebuilt and has done around 60k-80k kms since the rebuild.
    Has silicon pipes to throttle bodies and new radiator hoses
    You can test the motor but its quite evident that its fresh just by looking at a few simple things i.e. oil stays a nice golden colour (indicating less blow-by and generally good rings), spark plugs a nice colour (good combustion)

    -The turbos have been rebuilt + high-flowed
    They are running on stock boost, they hav NOT been raised, no boost controllers etc

    -Its also been fitted with a heavy-duty clutch and lightened fly-wheel
    The clutch is great in my opinion, its got a great strong bite but very comfortable to use and not heavy under foot.

    -It has a K&N pod filter (just cleaned + oiled) which is hidden behind the front bar.
    Also cleaned the AFM

    -It has a 2.5 inch cat-back and nice single chrome tips on either side.

    -Its had the plenum off and checked with almost every water hose replaced.
    This was done by a workshop and i had plans to do a plenum pull and eliminate all the hoses myself but never got around to it.

    -The Timing belt has been replaced at time of rebuild

    -It has a new battery and new terminals & leads. Also have a new tray & clamp.
    For the time ive had the car it has started first time every time!

    In the last 1000kms its had an oil (15W50) and filter (genuine Nissan) change, new fuel filter (RYCO), cleaned pod (K&N cleaning kit), new power steering fluid, new brake fluid, gearbox and diff oil (proper LSD oil) replaced, new rear tyres fitted (Kumho), new coolant (Nulon).


    EXTERIOR:

    -The car is originally black and has had a respray to freshen up the paint.
    Its like a black with silver glitter, im prety sure its a factory colour but looks good as its fresh.

    -Has the light-weight Aluminium bonnet fitted

    -Has Ferrari style tail-lights fitted (look quite nice and suits the car)

    -Has the 3rd Brake light installed also.

    -The rear wing has been professionally removed, looks very smooth (has the full brazillian)

    -Aftermarket Nismo front bar.

    -Tint


    INTERIOR:

    -All electrics work including the electric seat.

    -Nice Targa roof with the covers aswell (rare to hav them)

    -Has the 300km'h 'Z' speedo installed and calibirated

    -Has complete spare wheel, tools & jack included.

    -Plastic trim pieces resprayed matte black

    -Also has black carpet (looks better then the lighter colours)

    -Doesnt hav any crap pedals or steering wheel...has the official Z wheel and leather gear knob (they have a little bit of wear but still fine)

    -Alarm, with immobilisers and central locking

    DRIVELINE:

    -18 inch Jap wheels with 255/35/18 rears and 235/40/18 fronts with plenty of tread

    -Fronts AND Rear strut braces

    -Adjustable firmness 'Koni' front shocks

    -ABS and HICAS work perfectly


    Well thats all i can think of at the moment.

    I will say that the car isnt "perfect" but my definition of perfect is quite extreme but as i said with a bit of attention it will b a great car, I honestly believe it is a car that will keep running trouble free and with some work it will b a GREAT car.

    And im no time waster, if i think the car had something wrong id say it. I wouldnt want to do to a buyer what i wouldnt want done to me so iv written EVRYTHING i wouldve liked to do but didnt get around to and what i believe will make it a great car and any problems.
    Ive put them all in this section to make it easier for a buyer to know all the problems.

    -Fit new cowls below the windscreen, the black plastic things. Current ones are in poor condition (common problem on zeds - around $140 to replace from memory and a trader on these forums offers them)
    -Theres a dent in the drivers side quarter panel, i think it would involve popping out the dent and possibly respraying the quarter or simply buying a quarter in the same colour and fitting (found one for $110)
    -The front bar has had a hard life, its quite scraped and has one spot where the fibreglass has snapped. Would b best to replace with a full kit, i think that would look great. Can b repaired however. (Full kits can b had for $500)
    -Replace the Targa hook (the thing in the middle of the targas), its not in the best nick around ends so id say replace (around $100 again from forum)
    -Have tint redone as i think the current tint is prety average and bubbled in some places (around $150 for new tint)
    -Replace the plastic pods on the dash (climate control unit and one with headlight switch), another common problem on zeds, their bloody fragile.
    -Replace the centre console (plastic bit that houses the head unit)
    -Fix oil pressure gauge and water temp gauge (again common problems)
    ^^^My plan was always to remove the entire dash and components and customise, converting things to switches and putting in gauges
    -The exhaust has a couple of small exhaust leaks but iv got exhaust parts that were ready to be fitted included with the car.
    -Machine front rotors and replace brake pads

    Im sure theres other small things to work on but their the things that spring to mind.
    This car has NEVER let me down and got me where i needed to be, to the shops, out of sydney, cold or hot without trouble. Its a car that is fine in its current form but would be GREAT with some work.

    At the end of the day as iv already said, it was great fun and i loved owning a car that would put a smile on my face by looking at it and seeing its sleek lines and racey look, going for a quick spin, frigtening friends haha or telling people that this car was at one stage worth over $80k hahaha.
    But its time for something practical with cheap parts, plenty of space, quite engine and sedate appearence...

    Well iv tried to b as straight forward as possible but any questions just ask.

    I've almost forgotten the most important part, the price...i only want what i think i can get and what will get the car sold faster so im going to say:
    $9500 ONO

    Havn't had a chance to post anything as iv only come back recently, staying a bit more permanently :D

    But now hav no use for the car, would like to sell soon as i don't want it sitting around.

    I may still consider a trade but would prefer to sell it as i dont require a car now.

    The car is now $9000 ONO

    The car owes me alot more than that and i could fix it up and sell for a better price but for now iv got more important priorities.

    Really is a great car guys.

    Had a few offers but decided to turn them down and was actually considering to keep it but im just not using it enough and dont have the time for it.

    I do want to sell now so will probly put it on carsales soon and go from there.

    Car is great, took it out 2day and its running, feeling great.

    Really cant fault it, hadnt driven it in a week and the minute i flicked the key it roared to life, sat it there while it warmed up, and took it for a lil drive, felt GREAT :D
