Is it safe to tap into the nozzle coming out of the bottle and install a guage somewhere up near the drivers seat? Will pressure be affected if the braided line is about 2m long? Or does the guage have to be on/next to the bottle for an accurate pressure reading? Thanks
hooking up the bottle As long as you have the gauge is sealed up properly,it shouldnt leak anywhere.Braided airlines shouldnt lose any NOS at all so the pressure should stay the same along the length of the hose, meaning you can hook it up anywhere along the hose. All this is based on truck compressor braided airline, though i don't think there should be much difference between the two.
Pressure drop Heya, Install the gauge as close to the bottle as possible for the *most* accurate readings. You will get pressure drop along the hose. It may not be much along 2m, but that all depends on gas velocity etc.
doesnt matter where you mount it the loss of pressure along the line wouldnt be enough to warrant mounting it on the gas cylinder if he doesnt need to.
