Anyone have photos of their non OEM 2000spec taillights similar to these? Want to see what they look like on a zed.

The center black strip that seperates the two lenses is thinner than oem so does not match the reverse lights in the center panel. You can actualy see the red lens is visible below the black line in the photo.
Thats what makes them look cheap imo. Plus the fact the center panel wont match.

There is no red reflector in them like oem.

Exactly, the reflector is a must.

Of course, if you don't care about legality and whether or not your zed looks like a ball sack, get it.

I bought a set of these but when they arrived and i found no reflectors i got a refund still cost me abit for return postage though. Other than the lack of a reflector they looked pretty good. U could try the UK ebay there is a guy on there who refurb s the yellow part changing it to look like the clear ones. Cheaper than oem.

the aus -specs have reflectors in the rear bar, so i wonder if youd get away with using these with a aus spec rear bumper......just thinking out loud....

They arnt reflectors, they are rear fog lights... The right hand side lights up to show the drivers side, the other side is a dummy one but also not a reflector... I have them in rear lights like the jspecs...

I wonder if you just made the rear fog lights reflectors tho?

If for some reason anybody likes those hideous lights you can just go to supercheap and buy some red reflective tape (used for trailers etc.) and stick it on the lights somewhere suitable to make them perfectly legal.

Cam i got mine custom made...mine are genuine original tail lights, that have been converted to look 2k spec. Plus my reverse panel is probably the only one of its type in Australia :p genuine altia panel in 2k spec :)

Heheh yeah. I pick these up cheap from a forum member that upgraded to the 2k taillights.
They are a little better than the old dated (scratched) lights that were in there.
The dark outer would probably better suit the other car (burgandy), but still look ok to me.
Check the ebay seller if the outters are black or dark red, as I am sure you can get them in black.

wooooo, didn't expect so many responses!! :)

seems like most are passionately against the aftermarket ones. For me, the deal breaker is the lack of reflector that I did not pick up originally.

    Its OEM 2000spec for me.

    Thanks guys!
