I took your statement "removing all restriction" as exactly that, not making it a better mouse trap. By generic figures I mean his BSFC and VE, both estimates which he is using to calculate to a couple decimals LB/Hr. It is a ballpark calculation, not a definate number. Otherwise I agree 100% with what he is saying.

    PSI doesn't matter.

Holy crap, I would be more than happy wth that. :) Should have gone the R5 cams though.

Aww, thanks! I was happy with anything over 300rwkw, especially on that dyno. My tuner expected more from my build, but like I said it was in fairly unfavourable conditions and we didn't muck around with timing since it would be a waste of time as it is subject to change for the full tune.
I don't have the dyno graph :p with me, its in the z's glove box which is now at the panel beaters. To be honest not very exciting, I hope its because of the cams not being adjusted. Fairly laggy till 3.5k? I had a lot more going with my old set up (JWT sport 550s w/ Tomei Poncams) but its a bit unfair to compare now at this stage. I am hoping for the same or at least similar spool to my last build but with a wee bit more top end. Last build I reached 500rwhp at 3.3k, but only 550rwhp at redline. Table top dyno with heaps of useable power (area under graph) and very fun on the street.

They cost the same so I could have bought that instead. However, after speaking to a few tuners and engine builders on tt.net I believe for what I am after R4+ is the way to go. No regrets there.

no if you are worried about spool/midrange

I think that is more to do with your 28RS turbo's ;)

Pretty big thread dig here, but did this ever eventuate? Just went through the whole thread, didn't see a dyno sheet...

I'm not sure you'll have much luck, ZisLuv hasn't been on since March 2011

What can be expected of GT28RS's on pump fuel? Also what kind of lag do they have?

What do you mean by "full boost"?

How much could the lag be reduced? What is needed to bring the lag down?

A boost/power dyno sheet would be handy to see exactly what the boost curve is compared with the power curve, under 4000rpm particularly. To see if it would be a problem for you. For driveability it can be good not to have much boost at lower rpm's.

Not so much worried about too much boost, more so about having a laggy setup...

When you say full boost at 4k rpm, when would you start to feel boost? New to the whole turbo scene if you can't tell

I vote him to be the biggest troll the forum has ever had. For years he gave us nothing but BS stories about a monster zed he was building.
