......due to the outstanding success of the first triple Dash Gauge housing that I produced, I intend to continue with the concept in 2007:)

BUT, I need help to design the most popular configuration that the majority of folks will like.:)

That's why you will see a series of photos below to comment on, as to which one would be the most sought after:)

The new housing will still be a 3 Gauge housing, AND it will definitely be able to take either 52mm or 60mm gauges, either or.:)

It will also have the gauges facing toward the driver and be available in either uncovered form, or leather or vinyl:)

ALSO could you comment on whether it should be designed to fit in the centre of the dash, like the old one or to the left, over the glove box area?:)

You may also like to put up a photo of a housing that is not shown here that you feel would be a good option:)

Thanks for your help guys;)

Maybe make a poll? I'd be interested in number 6, with the covering, but having them angled towards the driver a little more.

    Respone to Gauge housing......

I think No. 3 and 6 are looking good but if it can face to the driver would be excellent. I would love this gauge housing can be put in the centre of the dash.

Number 2 or 6 would be nice, in the center, covered in leather and angled towards the driver.:):zlove:

I have # 5 installed and it works well - however I would like to see something with an overhang - or visor type thing to shade the faces from the sun, like # 3 :D

Where do you get the two gauge pillar mount gauge pod?

as long as it has some sort of overhang for shade, also the sleeker the better.

Beleive it or not Autometer do them for the Z32 go figure. Check out your local auto shop Baron they should be able to order them in.

BTW Paul have you ever tried to fit an E boost into the original pod I know it is smaller and designed for smaller gauges but I am thinking of putting mine there if I go down that path as it would be an ideal spot.

    Cheers

    .....no problem.....

......if smaller holes are wanted I can either have them, not drilled at all and leave it up to the customer, or have them pre-drilled the sized that is wanted.:) That is with the original units.

.....with the new ones I am thinking 52mm, 60mm as the largest down to whatever size you want:)

.....The three gauge units have been pupular, no one has asked for 2 gauge units before. What do you all think? 3 or 2????????:)

    Paul i am liking #1 and #6.

I the fact that they arr someone offfset gives them some character.

Would definetly be interested in some.. Might be an idea to get the colour carbon wrap to suit the colour of the cars... The extra bit of red will make my car that extra bit faster hahaha

    ....re Dash Gauge Housings.......

......:) thanks for your enquiry:) The only style I have available at this time is the original that fits in the centre of the dash above the centre air-con ventsl. If you advise me of your email address I will send you some photos:cool:

    Hi Paul

I think any style with the overhang looks cool and would be really functional. They would need to be angled nicely to the driver aswell.

Also my biggest issue with the first run design is the mounting system its pretty ordinary mate. I am modifying mine currently by fibreglassing some tabs on the rear of the pod which will sit in slots cut into the dash itself. The front setup will feature something similar a tab glassed onto the underside of the front lip which will enable screwing the whole thing down snuggly by accessing the tabs through the left and right hand pod hole. This way all the fixtures are out of site and its very snug. Mine has to be a tight secure fit to satisfy the cams and andra scrutineers.

Thats my only concern that I think should be addressed with the remakes and can send through some pics when completed.

    Cheers

    J
