I moved to Japan from Australia and my wifes brother in law had a Z32 sitting in yard untouched and in bad shape so I asked him about it and he gave it to me.

Since then ive been working on it as the previous owner he got it from had put all this cheap plastic over the interior and also had not cleaned engine or anything..
I've been replacing the interior with stock parts to restore it.

Any feedback or advice would be great as its my first time doing this!

Since you're in Japan it shouldn't be too hard to find the cosmetic bits you need to get the car back to some kind of reasonable trim. First thing to do is make sure the engine and transmission operate, check engine compression, do a leak down test, does the transmission shift up and down through the gears. If the car has a charged battery, turn the ignition on and check the last boost feature on what looks like a greedy ebc, that may give you some indication of how the car was driven.

Luckily the brother in law who gave me the car is a mechanic so he will do that stuff for me haha. Thank you for advise though! I will note it all down
