    Hey everyone,

As most of you know over a year ago I had a black non turbo 300ZX and had it for nearly 2 years until a taxi ran into the side of it and wrote it off.

Since then I h e built a 4AGE 20V blacktop corolla as a get around car as I needed something to drive.

Now I recently saw a nice clean 1992 twin turbo two seater... Basically I test drove it and it was amazing, guy owned it for a few years and is a forum member but I haven't found him as of yet.

So this build will be a personal diary for myself and just a little update of the things I do to the car as time passes don't expect me to break 800rwkw in a week or something. This will turn from little cosmetic stuff into a rebuild with forged internals.

    As it sits now:

    1992 2+0 twin turbo manual 188,000km
-2.5" cat back exhaust 3A Raceing
-Z1 hard pipes (purchased of anti)
-2K spec tails (soon once Chrispy sends them)
-Clear timing cover (coming aswell, still considering the idea of sticker bombing the backing plate behind the belt or tinting the covers blue)
    -Stillen short shifter
    -17" work Autostrata modena's
    -14Psi boost on boost jets.

So basically what I will be doing in the coming weeks is:
200,000km service- timing belt, water pump etc
    Installing the above mentioned
    Stillen lip and foggy ducts
And rebuilt motor with forged internals and a nice turbo kit to go with it (this will be a while though, like I said slow build)

Now I'm not aiming for this car to be a dyno queen but I would like some oomph out of it so I'm looking at around 280-300rwkw on a safe tune.

Will add photos when I have time because I'm using my iPhone now and I'm not technology capable to do it from phone.

But so far ill keep you updated.

Nice, I love the white 2+0. il be watching this thread for sure!

This sounds like what im half way through at the moment.

Are you planning on doing head work to it?

I'm not too sure at the moment, I know a guy who can port it out and service it for around $500 per head but I'm still unsure as I've been told and seen that stock heads will produce the power I'm after.

I was thinking if I do go down that road that it will only be mild porting. So not too sure right now, this is still in planning mode.

ohh yeah i know i mean this is going to be a very slow build.

probably will have a spare motor sitting in the garages for a year or two before i even start with it.

$500 a head is a good price mine were $800 a head with no port work.

main reason i got mine done was for the valve seals/guides... i dont want to go down the path of heads of again...

    anyway enjoy!

Well my heads will be getting serviced as machined either way for when it goes back together, new stem seals and cleaned out.

  11. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

Looking good on the mod list dude. What about some maintenance and deletes? That thing has so much unneeded crap in the bay!

If I knew what I was doing I would haha but I'm not good at the wire tuck side of things so I don't know what to delete. Any help will be appreciated.

You don't need to go "anti" mad and tuck and hide every bit of wiring lol.

Just usual deleted will tidy it up alot and tucking the wiring loom underneath accordion pipes and behind plenum etc

  14. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

Yeah I don't mean a wire tuck, just crap like the EGR, AIV's, PCV's, etc etc...

Was this the one for sale at a dealer on parramatta road?
If so, I drove it also.. And it was niiiiice.. It pushed me to buy my 1995 one ;)

Totally an awesome buy! Neeeeed pics. The whole thing was so dope I nearly bought it that day.

Wheels/paint combo is killer. It just.. Works.
I couldn't get many details from the dealer.. But they seem to think the engine had an overhaul recently.. Same with suspension and brakes..
However, when I got mine.. My seller was saying the same thing.. But I went ahead with a major service anyways. Will make the car last a heap longer.
Super tidy package man.. Can't wait to see how it comes along :)

Yeah that's what I'm thinking but I'm going to rebuild it later on down the track...

But yeah for a car with 200,000km's it pulls like new. It's running only around 14 psi and its quicker than some tt's I've driven on 16 psi with more mods.

    Update time

Okay I really have to learn how to add photos to this forum, unless somebody wants to assist me with photo uploading???

But I've been busy with work and being broke as a apprentice and my place has just raised my rent again so looks like this build is gonna be even slower. Basically I've found that the shocks are stock and the boots inside the shocks are ripped so ill be swapping them out for coil overs later on down the track. Then I took a look at the breaks... Completely f****d I mean they were rippled so bad it looks like someone just gouged pieces out of them.. So I swapped in some new RDA discs and extreme pads. So slotted fronts and backs. Breaks so much better now and doesn't pull to one side.

Next: about Wednesday night as I was coming home from watching the drags, I was putting a Holden manaro in its place and when I hit the top of third the clutch went to slip city, car drives but can't come on to boost. So I've bought a F1 Racing Stage 3 brass button clutch from the us and got it shipped. And cause I've bought the same clutch from him for my non turbo he did me a great deal $350 shipped.

And other than that just saving for the timing belt, car is booked in to have the clutch changed as once again I don't have a garage at my house so most of my work is done on the street so I think the neighbours would be a bit funny if I just yank a gearbox out in the middle of my road.

Mini update: bought a SAFC just to have a small tune on the car and see what power it's putting down, I know it's probably not gonna do anything but if it helps in any way until I buy a NIStune ill be happy.
