OMG! Just got home after 13 straight hours of car heaven. Let me start from the start. As you all know, Brad has been feverishly attempting to finish PHATT in time. So Friday night I head round to help with the final touches. What was seen as being a quick hour job, turned into a 6 hour job and before I knew it the clock was approaching midnight and we needed to be up early the next day. So we move to 7am this morning. Arriving with zed and HJ wraps in tow, we quickly give phatt and dub a final wash and then cruise down with PHATT (driven by brad), DUB (driven by myself), ZXxx (Driven by my housemate) and the 500hp mega beast whipple SC Monaro owned by none other than brad's legendary brother greg. By 9:30 we were setup by in the elite tent and phatt was on display like never before! The vid's were up and running and she was getting plenty of interest (just wish people would look and not touch!) And now for the highlights of the day. Crusing. Me and Dane jump in the Greg's monaro to see what she can do. Honestly the power of this car is indescribable. I would honestly love to see a the power curve of this thing as you go from zero to hero in milliseconds (which we proved to the crowd and in return received two strikes.....bastards. haha). Brad then joined us and we went on the First Supercruise of the day. Needless to say, the burnouts performed by the monaro were a crowd favourite and even the media and staff were getting into it. Me and Dane then found some mates who were cruising in a pimped out ute, and I have to say, going on a supercruise in a pimped out ute is tonnes of fun! We even managed to get the mascot dog to come for a ride. Quite strange when a 6ft tall dog starts asking you how your day's been while kicking back in a ute while fishtailing down a drag strip. Then it was time......PHATT TIME! Not only was it the best performing car of the "Elite Group" but also got some seriously good times in the Slalom and Go 2 Woah driving challenges. I then jumped in for the Elite Supercruise and OH MY GOD! For months I have been watching and waiting.....but nothing had prepared me for the ass kicking action which was 400m of 2nd gear fishtailing down a drag strip in front of 1000's of people. Brad I apologise if my screaming sounded girly....but I couldn't help it. Then to complete the day, Greg entered the monaro in the burnout comp....WITH BLUE RUBBER! Needless to say, the crowd loved every minute of the pulverising monaro and its plumes of blue rubbered smokey goodness. Greg was so happy at the end of it he jumped out of the car and performed some Cuba Gooding Jr/Jerry Maguire type dancing around the snake pit...and yes...we have footage baby! So all in all, a great day. Would also like to add that franz made some mentionable achievements, but I'll let him fill everyone in. Great to see Shaq, Todd, Franz, Tarra, Justin and heaps of other friends down there. I just hope tomorrow is as good for those attending! Pics will be up tomorrow night. (PS. i didn't proof this as I couldnt be bothered - going on 4 hours sleep and a 13 hour marathon of cars is draining....and I just don't care about spelling right now *looks at bed*) Paul

Me and Dane snuck in, so we saved our cash. haha. We went in with ute and a "support crew sticker". We told the woman at the gates that we had to rush in to set up in the elite tent and we would bring our tickets back......booyah! haha. but I agree, $35 is a rip if you are just looking, but if you know enough people and can cruise around and stuff its so worth it. Next year we have to get a group setup going and we can get more than 1 zed cruising around.
Next year we should have a aus300zx.com group of cars on show even though we're not a car club it'll still be cool.
Bring on a club display!!! MV was always soooo much fun - but only if you knew some ppl who u could go cruisin with and if you stay the night. I havent been for a few years now but i think i went 2003 & 2004 and coz i was with the CCCWA that do a club display it wasnt hard to get an overnight ticket - and thats when the fun starts! Once all the normal public have to get out and it is just the entrants left - it turns into one great big party of ppl that love their cars. $35 is a total rip off when u dont get to do half the shit that makes it fun. The average person just walks around the show n shine and sits on their ass n watches whatever is happening on the drag strip. But, as Paul said, if you know some ppl etc you get to go into the cars that are doing the super cruises and lapping the displays. A entrant can get up to 3 more 'extra' tickets and they only cost $50 - that is for 2 days worth plus overnight. Much better value! So lets get our shit together and get a club display sorted for next year! If the CCCWA can have a display and have mainly just crappy commies with no more mods than a change of rims and a pod filter - then why cant we?? Would be the most awesome party and a great experience. My mate does the official motorvation dvd, so i will check with him to see if he has any extra footage of PHATT and the Monaro.
Guarantee there is footage of their cars! The Blue Smokin' Joes were so popular with the crowd and it must be a first in WA coz even the commentator had never seen them used live...only on video.....so you can almost guarantee that will be on the vid. I've already got some idea's for a club display and for a small cost to each of us we could make it kickass!
was the best motorvation so far i reckon. really really good cars and SO many of them. PHATT looked so good in the supercruise in the evening light. pity i didnt catch up with any of you guys.

What a f**n awesome day Can't say i've been to a Motovation day before but god damn was it good, we entered to be greeted to white smoke billowing from the quarter mile track to find many cars doing their stuff and burning rubber! Was amazed at the scale of the show, 1000's of people i reckon crammed into quit, 100's of cars, ppl everwhere Took a while to find PHATT, in hindsight should have called in the first place lol, the ONLY Z in the competition *sigh*, i was pleasantly surprised to find the amount of interest ppl gave to the car since it was "different" to other ones and the fantastic overall appearance of it now, dude that is some seriously big rims and some deep dish! Major highlight was the snake pit burnout comp, when Brad's bro let the wheels spin and blue smoke went everywhere, the crowd went up haha, great sight and josh has it all on camera!, also Brendon apparently has plenty of pics of the event so post them up when u can dude! poor Brad, and i quote "im sick of entering buy myself at competitions" i heard him say later on during the day, and rightfully so, so next year boys and girls, anyone willing to have an aus300zx display??? Had a great time and see you's all at the next event Mike
Hey Mickey, Good to hear sunday was good still, thought with it only going to 5 it might be a little bit of a let down (no night show, people packing up early etc). Did brad manage to find a ride home. I couldn't get down there as I had no lift and he needed someone to drive DUB.
Yeh i think Josh had to drive DUB home as i gave him a lift there today and i needed to leave early, 4ish to pick up something from freo, the falcon is still parked out the front of mine and the keys are still in my car...
