didnt have enough time to go to homebush on the way home today but got rough timings from google maps.

if we leave homebush at 0830 then meetup at loftus should be at about 0920 - 0930, google maps says 51 minutes so 1 hour should give us more then enough time.

if we leave loftus at around 0930 then there is just about 2 hours for us to drive from the car park to gerroa which should be more then enough time for us to drive through the national park, stop at bald hill for pics, through the gong and to the lighthouse.
down to shellharbour and kiama, drive through the main strip in kiama, hopefully if theirs enough of us we can possibly have the whole of terralong street full of zeds on one side which would look awesome and will def be expecting pictures.

then for the nice little drive to the club for lunch, a few pics overlooking 7 mile beach and then depending on what everyone is doing for the afternoon we may go for a spirited drive through kangeroo valley and berri ect.

looking forward to the day, cars and more importantly meeting alot of you guys & girls.

    From Canberra to Loftus Oval

For those travelling from Canberra, I would recommend the following route / timings:

    Leave
06:45 Eaglehawk, Federal Hwy (Hwy 31)
    80 kms
07:40 Goulburn Maccas - Sowerby St
    (Southern exit off Hume Hwy)
    Meet up with Goulburn Zedders
    (includes time to get coffee)
    120 kms
    08:45 Picton Rd (Hwy 88)
    30 kms
    09:05 Southern Fwy (Hwy 1)
    40 kms
    09:30 Arrive Loftus Oval

These should be reasonably conservative time estimates.

    Cheers,

    Peter

    thanks oz

i'd like to set a date so i know whether i will need to add a few extra to the booking, being a long weekend it will be busy so if i can get a final number of people attending by the 22nd i will finalize the booking for the exact number of people + 2-4 just in case.

so 22JAN09 is the cut off for lunch.

i cant afford a 200k service kit and find someone to help/show me how to do it in the next 10 days so is there anything i SHOULD do the engine to make it more comfortable for me and my zed ?

will most likely be changing oil, coolant, top up power steering fluid ect as soon as i get her but is there anything else i should do ?

dont worry to much about it mate.

if the day turns out to be as good as i'm hoping then having another one shouldnt be a problem.

picked up the new zed today, non pearl white, N/A manual 2+2.
drove her home from chatswood with minimal fuss, she seems to be a little starved of fuel when it kicks over and has a rough idle but i'm going to try cleaning the intake and injectors tomorrow.

its awesome getting a new car, i've been driving around all night to get the feel for it and have been discovering things on the car that i didnt know about.

i reckon she's already had her 200k service and has a different clutch installed.

only a week to go guys....:D

thats cool mate, i'd like for there to be another cruise like this one in the next few months.

anyone local to kiama interested in helping me sort out my power steering ?

there will be beer and possible pizza involved ?

It looks like my car will be rolling by next weekend. Booked in to get the exhaust done on wed and only minor things to finish off now.
So count me and the Mrs in for sure.

I'm at Albion park rail and i've just done a complete hicas removal so i'm reasonably up to speed with the power steering system right now.
But really on a NA it's either gonna be the pump or possably a blockage of some sort. Or as already said an air lock/bubble.
I'm probably unable to get down to you but if you want to head up my way one afternoon i'm more than happy to have a look at it for you.

    Regards
    Ben
