How is this for a plan?

Not sure how long it will take and how keen everyone is to avoid Sydney traffic, ie morning congestion?

How about we meet at Thornleigh Maccas at 8:30 to 9am then drive to Nelson Bay via Hexam and Tomago so we can drive past the huge collection of old 240Zs/260Zs if it is still there.

Probably 2.5hours ish to get there. Have lunch at the pub at Shoal Bay and have a walk to the beach. Head home about 2-3pm?

    Any comments? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Sounds like a good plan. I'm close to Thornleigh so I can be there any time. At this moment I'm a 75% certainty

    Sounds great Geoff

.... except that Cuddlybear and I will be waiting at the Ourimbah rest area on the F3. It is just down the hill from the rapacious and notorious 110kmh speed camera. It is one of the NSW Government's best earners; make sure you don't make a contribution. ;)

Oni, old Funny Fella you... whadda ya mean... avoid Sydney traffic, ie morning congestion?
... I think you'll find traffic to Thornleigh anywhere around that hour is pretty hopeless anyway!! Still, the rest sounds pretty good to me...!!

    OK, all's well for tomorrow

In case you are not familiar with the Ourimbah Rest Area, take the exit from the F3 at the Ourimbah Interchange (about 3km from the speed camera). The exit ramp leads down to a roundabout. The rest area is right at the first exit off that roundabout.

The two bears will be there from say 10am.

    Looking forward to it :)
