    Hi Guys,

This is one of the best value-for-money items you can buy!

If you want to improve your brake response, then this is for you.

These are great quality, light-weight and easy to install. They are made from solid aluminium, and come with stainless steel mounting bolts as shown in the picture.

Price: $32 ...a steal in comparison to what you can expect to pay for a Master Brake Cylinder Brace!

I have a few sets. First to pay secures a set.

I will only ship from mid-September, but payment must be received before I ship.

    Please PM me your interest.

    CheerZ
    Vincent

Ill grab one too, but how well do they work say compared to the Chilli Brace which costs over 3X as much.

    Good question aK

Comparing to the Chili brace would be a good example. just going by looks, the chili brace "seams" to be a bit more ridged, but there's probably no reason why your brace couldn't be just as good. do you have anymore pics at all (installed pics)?

Sorry for the delay in replying??

I?ve been busy with boring, everyday crap that has to be done!

    1. Postage: Sorry! I?ve stuffed up! I forgot to add postage, envelopes, etc, etc. However, I suppose if you add $4 that should cover it. If it?s more, well then I?ll have to live with it since it was my screw-up. So $36 should cover it. If the extra cash prohibits you from buying, I do understand. Yet ? it?s still a lot cheaper than what you?ll find on e-bay or anywhere else for such a product. ;)
    2. Fitment: Yes, they fit into the existing holes. Tighten bolts well so that they grab slightly into the aluminum, and you?re good to go.
    3. Pick-up for Vics: I?m in the Oakleigh area, so if this is convenient, PM to me your telephone number and I?ll give you a call to come and collect. Why should AusPost make money when they don?t have to!?
    4. Functionality: This model has been on sale for a few years, and to-date, I and the manufacturer have not heard of any complaints. They are cut from one piece aluminum that is about 6-7mm thick ? really sturdy yet really light. If it scratches, you can lightly sand it down, not have to re-paint it or re-chrome it. Look ? I can?t give you engineering specs of tolerances, etc (as I?m sure neither can other brace sellers/manufacturers), but the brace is good enough for me to buy to put on my own Z, and for numerous people in numerous countries put it on their Z. I just bought a few when I bought mine, as I thought it beats spending $100+ by other forum members that are in a similar (tight-arse!) financial position as me. :D
    5. Comparison: I don?t know if Chili?s is more rigid as I?ve never seen one of his, so any comparison would be a guess at best. I assume it would come down to putting both in a mechanical or hydraulic press and seeing which would break first, which I believe would be pressure far exceeding what either would suffer in a road/sometimes-track Zed. I do know that this has minimal moving parts and I was brought up with the belief that ?the less parts something has the less chance that something will break.? BTW: I?m not suggesting anything will go wrong with Chili?s ? it?s a great product, just out of my financial range.
There are a number of comparisons which you can use and make a judgment for yourself: Chili?s has the one pressure point on the Master Brake Cylinder, which is the head of the adjustable bolt; this model spans nearly the entire width of the Master Brake Cylinder. The Chili design is stainless steel, this one is aluminium. This one is 6-7mm thick; Chili?s is ?? thick, and so on, and so on, and so on???
So, to cut a long story short???I have no idea which is better. But I do know this one costs less.
    6. Pictures: Sorry, don?t have any other pics of the brace on a car.
    7. Payment: Details will be PM?d to those that have expressed an interest.

If you want one, then I need to know by Friday, as I won?t be on the forum again for 2 weeks or so as I won?t have a PC.

Please make sure you deposit payment before Friday as well, as I won?t be able to check to see if you?ve paid and what your address is.

If you can?t do it by Friday, you will have to wait a few weeks before we can do the whole ?buy/sell? thing again, if I have any left.

Hope this answers most questions. :)

Any experts (CHILLI) wanna comment on this product.

To me, if it works and actually stops the damn thing from moving than i say its an awesome product and an unbeatable price (unless Lloyd stops making millions of dollars in profits and gives his product for 1/3 of the price). So if someone can prove it works, or doesn' work than it would be greatly appreciated. So far, so Good on the product :)

Thanks Vincent for looking out for forum members with a good saving. :):zlove:

That's the one thing I'm wondering too. It looks like it would easily hold the pressure put against it, I'm just wondering if one size will fit all.

dont think it is one size fits all

to me looks like the holes are slotted so there's still a bit of adjustment in it.

pretty sure im 100% for this vincent, will give you definate answer & hopefully payment tomorrow.

    cheers, tim

    another dumb question

    whats it do

When you push the pedal, the brake cylinder can flex. This stops it moving and your pedal will feel like you don't have to push it as hard or far to get the braking happening.

    This brace is adjustable

have a look at the holes in it. You bolt it on then slide it back against the master cylinder and tighten the bolts.
Chilli's brace uses a grub screw at the master cylinder end which screws back onto the master cylinder, which is then locked in possisition. The chilli brace will not move or come undone.
