No worries, only did that due to shall we say a lackluster showing for Autospectacular & the fact that there were forum mebers there today who said they did not know we were putting cars on display.:)

More details:(I have PM'd all who have shown interest this info individually)

    So a couple questions:

Is there a cut off date for club site bookings?

For car club bookings re sites I will require numbers of cars by 1st September to allow re to allocate location

Is a AASA licence required for Track Sprints, Time Attack & Drags?

Yes the AASA is required for track-sprint- However the 1/8th mile drags no But to enter the drags I will be accepting the first 24 entrants with money paid up. The cost for drags is $10.00 per car. That is on top of the $15.00 for show and shine entrants.
There is also a trophy for first place.
It is run in an elimination ? you loose and you are out. But you do get at least minimum 4 x runs

Usual clothes, long sleeve shirt, long pants, closed shoes & helmet?

Clothing as you have stated is required

Other than the fees on your flyer are there extra charges for Track Sprint, Time Attack & Drags?

I have included the drag fees. At this point the track costs are to be finalized. But going on last year it will be $155.00 for minimum of 3 x runs x 5 laps.
This fee will also require to be paid by 1st September. If any of your members are interested. Please let me know and I will forward the track entry forms. They are separate to show and shine. But all paid to CJCC Inc.

    Hi Pete
Not sure what I'm up to at that time of year. Could be good to go for a long distance run. Any chance of sourcing budget accomodation near the event? Thanks.

I thought this thing was for classic cars 30 years plus?

It's for anything Japanese that is considered to be a classic or future classic car. The vehicles don't have to be considered a classic in the historic sense.
Research on the net by myself defined classic into a number of catagories the most common of which are the historic & MODERN CLASSICS.
A MODERN CLASSIC is broadly defined as any vehicle from '72 or '74(can't remember exactly) -'89, no longer in production & still sort after:) obviously things like styling, technological criteria are also considered.
All in all though this is a get together of people with a passion for Japanese cars regardless of age or type.

Just looking at their website CJSS, last year these where the catergories they had:

    1960's
    1970's
    1980's
    1990's
    2000's

With an award for the following in each year category:
    Best original
    Best restored (exc. 2000's) obviously
    Best engine
    Best over-all
    Public choice

    Best Over-all Show
    Public Choice of Show
